The MADAME Lounge (1 Viewer)

that interview is a horrible tour de merde for Madame! is the cringey female host even looking her way at any point or just being tipsy friendly with Moratz?

also the notice down in the corner for the next segment. “Tips to stay bougie on a budget” :D :zombie: who in their right mind booked them for such a trash show?

GRETA COUNTDOWN ALERT

Oh thank goodness, only TEN days to go before the UK release date! Have there been any more ghastly interviews?

I haven’t deigned to watch any more as I can’t bare to look at and subject myself to the VILE LITTLE PIG.

But I did enjoy this one of Madame SOLO, nonchalantly slating the acting talents of Billy Zane and Samuel L Jackson. :disco:

“Zero. :):D

:D "NEXT ONE?"

It's still terribly beneath her but she obviously gives it the customarily fabulous MADAMERIE and God knows it's better than being plonked next to the vile little pig and subjected to inane questions

Incidentally that shirt she's wearing is EVERYTHING. No bougie on a budget for MADAME!

Despite what I said in that obsessions thread the other day, I might make it my mission to watch everything MME has ever done before I drop dead. Although I can’t say that I’m especially hot and horny for THIS

@jivafox, have you seen ‘Things To Come’ aka ‘L’avenir’? 88/100 on Metacritic and gongs galore for MME! I shall make a note of that one :disco:

Yes! it’s wonderful. MME has a GLORIOUS scene on a bus which alone is deserving of ALL the gongs.

I loved L'avenir. It's actually a great film on its own I thought and she plays her normal self BUT LIKEABLE.

Not that she's ever not likeable when stabbing herself or torturing American brats of course :disco: Just more MAINSTREAM PALATABLE.

I've not watched every film where MADAME STARS but off the top of my head some ESSENTIELLES are:

- La Dentelliere (or MADAME playing NICE and FRIGID if you can believe THAT)
- Violette Noziere (elle est ICONIQUE ici)
- La Separation
- Un affaire de femmes (MADAME as an abortionist? je dis oui :disco: )
- Amateur (a must-see if you fancy MADAME playing a PVC-wearing NUN who writes PORNOGRAPHY with a penchant for POWER DRILLS)
- La Ceremonie (un autre great Chabrol and she's PITCH PERFECT)
- La Vie Promise
- Home
- That Korean film where she plays three people (I've forgotten the name)
- 8 Femmes (a bit OBVS, but she really brings it)
- The aforementioned L'Avenir, Copacabana, Valley of Love

She's in lots of other great films as well that are not necessarily STARRING VEHICLES (Loulou, Coup de Torchon, Time of the Wolf, Amour, etc). All the Chabrols with her that I've seen are interesting, and she's done lots of American and French high-trash which are definitely still worth watching like 'Elle', 'The school of flesh' (any excuse for a little RENDEZ-VOUS avec Vincent Olivier), 'The bedroom window' or that one where she fucks her teenage son :disco:

She works with first-time directors often and many women directors too so she ends up in the most OFF-BEAT projects, another reason why I love her.

No Cannes gongs for MADAME by the looks of it, but here she is swanning around at the premiere. I must say that dress looks MUCH better when she’s involved in said swanning :disco:

Si vous parlait français you may enjoy 17 unbridled minutes of dinner avec MADAME

Conversation ranges from BEING CALLED AN ICON (she hates it) to Neil Jordan, the theatre and how Americans didn't invent cinema :disco:

We really are not worthy.

Her hair is my favourite kind of FIERY RED and that blouse is ON POINT. Impeccable.

I’m a bit disappointed to see that there’s no MADAME at the LFF 2019 unless I’ve missed something, in which case do let me know

She seems to have DIPPED UNDER THE RADAR recently.

I do hope it wasn’t the reviews for FRANKIE.

I bet it WAS :(

Madame needs to stop making this rubbish in English (not including ‘Greta’ obviously) and get back to the FRANÇAIS. I’m sure she’s getting some lovely holidays out of it but it’s simply not suitable for our purposes!

@jivafox have you ever watched the entirety of ‘Ma mère’? I’ve previously avoided it as I can’t stand Louis Garrel and also it’s apparently dreadful which I find very hard to believe given that it features MADAME, but given that it tackles the hot SUJET DU MOMENT I might settle myself down with a bottle of Malibu and tin of Quality Street and pop it on :horny:

Yes “Ma Mère” has a very poor reputation but I enjoyed it very much, probably because I quite fancy Louis Garrel (soz).

Or maybe because of the INCEST :horny:

I might make it my evening watch too :disco:

After I finish this chapter in my latest VC Andrews tome, in which poor Christie is SHOCKED to discover Uncle Phillip’s unbrotherly love for her mother, OF COURSE. :disco:

15 minutes in and I don’t even remember ever STARTING this. Must remember to wear my dress next time I go swimming :disco:

Also I’ve only just realised that it’s based on the book by GEORGES BATAILLE! @jivafox, if you’ve not already done so, you have to read ‘The Dead Man’. FILTH!

Here’s a LOVELY EXCERPT:

Marie kept on pissing.

On the table amidst the bottles and glasses she sopped herself with urine she caught in her hands.

She had it running down her legs, her ass and her face.

‘Look,’ she said. ‘I’m a lovely sight.’

Crouched, her cunt level with the monster’s head, she spread its lips horribly.

:disco::D:disco:

:disco:!

I do think that the camerawork in ‘Ma mère’ is terribly cheap and amateurish - it looks more like something from the early 90s - although the whole thing certainly does (inevitably) have that metallic Bataille tone and I’m halfway through and not bored yet and obviously we have MADAME in full amoral mode so I give it 10/10 :disco:

Still 10/10 OBVIOUSLY but the execution really was quite piss-poor. I’ve never actually read the book (although I will now) but I’m sure that dear old Georges didn’t exactly have Gran Canaria and the YUMBO CENTER in mind :side-eye:
