I'm not that invested in Star Wars and haven't even seen all of The Mandalorian, but I thought this was charming fun and perfect matinee fodder.

Was excited to see Jeremy Allen White's name pop up in the opening titles, only for it to dawn on me over the next few hours that I'd not be seeing him and he was in fact voicing JABBA THE HUTT'S SON.

Why cast THIS:

to play THIS:

Obviously still quite fuckable as Hutts go, but not the same. And more crucially it was an actively bad voice performance! Flat and unengaged.

The very concept of this film offends me, and I've seen it getting roasted online thankfully.

Star Wars went wrong when they panicked at the response to the Last Jedi, despite it being THE BEST STAR WAR

Disney has destroyed Star Wars. Churning out endless, increasingly awful sequels and spin-offs. Who is still enjoying this drivel?

The use of Grogu during the press for this worked a little too well on me. I couldn't bear to watch anything where he is even in mild peril.

I always read Grogu in this title in this man's voice
