So many people seem to have the book already. I want to punch each and every one of them in the face!

I'm off out to Eason now, as they have a habit of cluelessly putting books out days before the release date. Wish me luck!

It was a nice, long interview; revealing in some ways, yet plenty of stuff we already knew because she’s been spouting it for years.

Oprah was dreadful though. Talked way too much and came across as an armchair psychologist. Mariah came across as intellectually superior and seemed a bit fed up with Oprah in places.
 
I wonder whether we will get any discussion of Stella, her career lows post-Nick and her declining voice at all in the memoir. I have always been fascinated to understand to what extent she mourns the loss of the Imperial Era voice.

That’s exactly how I felt about it too. I thought Winfrey was pretty awful.
 
Oh y'all wanted a TWIST!

This is apparently the infamously buried "The Crave Song", after which she named her short-lived record label. You can hear her on the second verse, and (I think!) some of the ad-libs at the end.

 
All of a sudden, her love for 80s rock ballads makes a lot more sense.

I’ve preordered the audiobook, the physical and because I’m in such a Mariah mood even slapped a order on The Rarities LP.
