Tory Lanez found GUILTY for shooting Megan Thee Stallion :o

I don't really endorse carceral systems of justice, especially not where African-Americans are concerned within the US penal system.

On the other hand, just fucking throw away the key on this arsepiece.

What would be the alternative to incarcerating to someone who's convicted of a violent crime? Especially someone who has zero remorse?

The answer to that isn't really a single post. Essentially it involves investing in public services and initiatives to prevent people turning to crime in the first place. There will always be a number of people who are a genuine danger to others and they present a different kind of challenge.

There are whole books that don't cover the entirety of this discussion but basically, a corrupt prison system buoyed by a racist judiciary is beyond salvage.

Lesbian m&ms, we hardly knew ye

Just can’t believe this sad news. Anyone fancy coming with me to trash the M&Ms Store on Leicester Square? It deserves destruction for MANY reasons!

I don’t think this is the Cancellation of Eva Green (quite the opposite according to this article) but I didn’t know where to put it

The texts seem to stem from Green’s frustrations with the film’s budget, which was apparently half the figure she had been told. Allegedly, she had also initially been granted “rights of approval” regarding the hiring of production staff, to ensure “the film would be as good as it could be”. The producers, however, claim that she simply demanded to handpick certain members of the crew – an assistant and driver, a makeup artist, a dialect coach and script supervisor – and that, when her request was denied, she wrote to her agent stating that she would be “obliged to take [the producer’s] shitty peasant crew members from Hampshire”. :disco:

I don't think that article has enough photos, couldn't they have put in a few more?

Poor Pam though :(

Sounds like quite the piece of shit!
A fair, measured response to this would be to immediately cancel the show, delete every archived copy of every episode, recall any and all merchandise and issue life sentences to anyone who mentions pickles or szechuan sauce ever again.

Okay, it might not be fair or measured but it would make me happy.

I do love how ALLEGATIONS now means THEY DEFINITELY DID IT. (In this case I think he’s guilty based on his mouth but THAT ASIDE :))

I mean he's not wrong that there are rings of acceptability or forgiveness when it comes to these things and that race probably played an aggravating part in his case (and the fact that he beat up a woman who was at that point one of the biggest popstars in the planet).

The string of abuse left behind by Ezra Miller and the fact that not only he's got away with it scot free but has also been rewarded with a leading role in one of those superhero films suggests there is more to what he's saying that simply "playing the race card".

Obviously the inelegant and ineloquent way of going on about it doesn't help his case. As it doesn't the fact that he had big support to relaunch his career after the whole incident and that he's gone to become even MORE successful now that he was before!

Ezra Miller had already filmed The Flash before the majority of their rampage (and before the dodgy grooming stuff came to light), so that particular situation is more down to the studio having sunk millions into something and then having to (badly) deal with a cancellable situation.
