The most Unfriday Friday ever

I'm off to the pantomime later.

It felt like a nice idea in June or whenever I booked it. Right now I'd rather sit on the sofa eating cheap chocolate and watching crap TV.
 
Strangely a lot of people at work today. Way more than usual at this time.

Got given some supposedly posh fudge yesterday. Supposedly handmade. It’s foul. Nothing like the nice stuff made on site at proper fudge makers @Rachey

We had a surprisingly busy day in the shop yesterday. Everyone was coming in wanting fudge because they were fed up of chocolate 🤷🏻‍♀️

Gardiners brand from Scotland. It’s a mix of Clotted Cream and Salted Caramel ones. Not nice :(

I’ve had some glorious fudge before, all freshly made and this is not cutting it.
 
I can relate. I'm currently stuffing my face with marzipan because I can't face chocolate right now.

I mean it sounds like it should be nice. Is it crumbly or smooth?
 
One of my old school friends is a real.over sharer on social media and for the last week has been sharing every single detail of her marriage breaking down.

It's fascinating reading but I feel like one of her close friends should tell her to take it off Facebook.

Well that’s always FUN to read, but mostly when it happens with colleagues your don’t particularly like, not actual friends.
 
Yeah, it's great when you want to understand the simmering resentments between folk you work with, quite another when it's people you actually give a monkey's about.

Just dropped off Mr Sheena’s Dad and now having a sofa day. It’s just what the doctor ordered. SO much food still to eat!
 
I’ve managed to avoid even having a sniffle all through Christmas season. And my dad turned up on Christmas Day with a cold and slept in my bed that night while hacking and coughing. Last night I slept on the sofa again after they’d gone and haven’t been back in my room since :(
 
I finished my marzipan fruits this morning, and have started on the Lidl Mozartkugeln :santa:
 
We put the turkey crown carcass into make stock but so much meat came off we’ve ended up turning it into a stew, following last night’s curry, half of which is in the freezer along with about five two people portions of turkey meat.

WILL IT EVER END?

I've been labouring under the delusion that today was Thursday. I'm just about to go half-council-estate and go to the shop in my Crocs.

Also, why does everybody rave over Crocs? They feel like wearing wellies, don't keep your feet warm at all and they aren't comfortable like Skechers are.

I've just been to my mum's for fajitas, as a big goodbye before we go away. You'd think we were going away for 6 years rather than 6 weeks, friends have been messaging to meet up, family want to do dinners....and I just want to sit at home and not socialise with anyone until we go away!
