The offical Moopy Eurodance EXTRAvaganza: Fri FEB 12th 9PM

I very much look forward to watching this a mere day late. Wish I could be there for the lives, but I may do some housework to it as a way to make sure I don't just binge forward through it after the fabulous fact of it all :disco:

What a year to get started with it all though. Will it be in chronological order? I've been stuck in 1995 for about a month - Eurodance spoiled us rotten, it really did.

Oh God I might have a zoom call. Although I can probably get off early.

Oh GOD. I've been looking forward this so much!

I didn't have to bump my own thread on the day of the event! A RELIEF for SURE! :disco:

I do believe this will be rather ridiculous, I'm HIGHLY CURIOUS to see how many will manage to stick out the entire length :D
Bottle of wine ESSENTIAL of course! :disco:

It’s been a long work week and I am so excited for this!

You see what your hangovers are like in 20 years, young man *shakes fist*
I was more thinking of our wurst’s DICKY TUMMY rather than MISS I’LL HOST A ZOOM THEN FALL ASLEEP AT MIDNIGHT :disco:

Looking forward to this. As a German child / teenager growing up in the 90's with MTV Europe and VIVA this was my first musical obsession. I'm always amazed / baffled by the British reaction to it, as later Eurodance especially was clearly not catered to a native English speaking market.

Ooh exciting! Please feel free to SPILL any thoughts you may have :disco:

We all love a slice of PERSPECTIVE!

Playlist is now LIVE in the first post for those who DARE to play along with this absolute rubbish :D

Press play at 9pm OF COURSE! :disco:
Could you post it again further into the thread please. The live threads thing causes the first post to disappear on occasion.

2 Unlimited: The Real Thing (1994, UK number 6):

And we start with possibly the most maximalist (in terms of SOUND) songs of the entire Eurodance genre, performed by Eurodance’s BIGGEST STARS. Go big or go home right?

This song features a CLASSICAL sample of Toccata and Fugue (!) and despite being a complete wall of sound/mess I actually think it works really well. It’s possibly my favourite 2 Unlimited song, and the DERANGED VIDEO just adds to the appeal.

Also notable for being 2 Unlimited’s last proper UK HIT! Everything else that followed was diminishing returns, Ray was fit tho.
