I just watched Kieran's banishment back again and I'm sorry but I really think he did nothing wrong. He knew he was going, he was pissed off, he never said he knew Wilf was a traitor, (though Wilf constantly did about him all day around the house, which is apparently allowed in the rules..?)... and Wilf opened himself up to that by trying to fuck someone over again. I'm very happy it played out like that.
 
I really can't wait to find out how the next line up act with all this prior knowledge. It's bad enough figuring out how to act with no knowledge of the show, whereas next time people will be actively copying certain roles like Meryl (!) in the hope it keeps them in. Hopefully that doesn't make it safe and boring.

It does seem your best chance is playing dumb, but still actively forming relationships, but not voicing that you're onto a particular traitor. On balance, it feels like being a traitor is a lot easier in many ways

Haven't you spent the entire season loathing Wilf for the game he played? Did he not essentially just get everything he deserved and sowed the seeds for in the moment?

I do think there's a huge difference between saying someone's a traitor in the conversations around the house which could be ANYONE stirring the pot, compared to extreme hinting when you've 99% been banished. You've got a very obvious agenda then, and therefore they're all going to believe you (which is exactly what happened)

However I agree with you now in the sense that's a fair risk if a traitor betrays another traitor. An angry banished faithful can't change the game like that even if they wanted to (though they could throw in some poison in other ways I suppose...that no one has is perhaps surprising, but I imagine most realise it's not a great look) and a banished traitor who was mostly sussed by the group (rather than betrayed) is unlikely to, either. So betrayal just means your risk of being exposed last minute is always there

Oh absolutely. I’m delighted the scroat lost and that he sowed the seeds.

It’s just a shame it came about by Kieran essentially breaking his oath.

100%. He kept within the line - there was no guarantee everyone there would believe him (and indeed! Merly didn't!). Wilf's response to it is what lost it for him. If he'd kept it cool and decided to just say "he's angry because I turned on him because I couldn't tell him I was going to vote for him - he's just lying as a revenge move against me" he could have got through it. Everyone could smell that he was panicking and protesting too much.

Of course, he could have also played the season more cunningly and not turned on Amanda at the first sniff of weakness and got to the final together with her first 🤷‍♂️

I somehow doubt the producers will need to bring in an even firmer rule. If anything it probably makes for a better season 2 that there's a clear disincentive for getting a taste for double crossing among the Traitors, especially if they start adding Faithful roles (and have a much more streetwise band of Faithfuls that have seen how it went the first time around).
 
I think it's because Kieran did something we hadn't really seen before it makes it seem shocking, and makes you question if people who are clearly being banished, suddenly saying stuff to change the game at their final breath, is fair or not. But it's not like there are any rules, not really, every action someone takes is usually affected by the others, in this case Kieran reacted to Wilf's actions, so I suppose it's all fair game (and obviously it was incredible what it lead to)

I don't know why I keep thinking about this, I need to sleep :zombie:

Also I just need to know if Meryl played SOME kind of game, any kind of game even if it wasn't this one, to win cash and that it wasn't a total accident

It seems like he basically didn’t have a choice of whether to take on a traitor or not - but i’m not really sure which options would have been better. As others have said, Hannah probably the best bet since she clearly has it bad for him and probably could have won her around? Otherwise, a more risky move might have been picking someone that would almost defs have rejected his offer and chose to be murdered. I don’t necessarily think all of the fuck up came from betraying Kieran either - Kieran was terrible in the role of traitor. Staying 100% on his side would have saved Wilf the parting blow from Kieran, but if he was eager to back someone that the others were already clocking as shifty and might have banished anyway then it would have looked sus as soon as Kieran was revealed as traitor. With Kieran’s parting comment - I do perhaps wish it was marginally less on the nose but I also don’t think he broke the rules. He didn’t say anything that doesn’t leave Wilf with the option to explain away.

I must say in terms of the outcome that I am FURIOUS that Wilf’s sudden “uwu i’m actually glad you sussed me, love you guys” after his traitor reveal meant that we were denied Hannah LAMPING HIM ONE for aggressively lying to their faces to take the full pot of money literally moments before. I’m also surprised that anyone here thought that Wilf was being sincere about that - he was clearly gutted he fucked up at the last hurdle and it honestly felt it was the least convincing lying he had done the whole time!

The ending was great, although really it would feel a lot more satisfying if it felt like the faithfuls hadn’t mostly stumbled through to the end and avoided murder by being utterly thick.

The example I gave (of the last traitor being voted out somehow mid-series) is where they'd be justified in bringing in a new one, but I think I'd be okay with the last episode being traitor free occasionally. Not every series obviously.

From a contestant perspective I think it would have been fine but as a viewer maybe not so much? Once Wilf had gone it kind of felt game over despite there being another round of coloured fire.

But then if a faithful wanted to be greedy they could have banished again which I actually reckon is what Wilf would have done if he were faithful :D
 
It seems according to twitter that Hannah, Aaron and Meryl have been on This Morning.

I'll wait to see if anything good surfaces.
 
On a twitter space yesterday, Fay revealed that Alyssa accidentally outed herself as a traitor to Rayan while doing a Claudia impression.

The line she chose to use for her impression? "Hello traitors." :D
