I note that John has apologised for abusing Aaron and making him cry.

If he'd kept it cool and decided to just say "he's angry because I turned on him because I couldn't tell him I was going to vote for him - he's just lying as a revenge move against me" he could have got through it. Binged the final nine episodes yesterday after starting on Wednesday, and thought it was a brilliant series.

The BBC don't usually meddle massively with formats, do they? I don't think much needs changing, in any case, but many of the tasks felt superfluous to the overall proceedings, so I'd probably introduce more which revolved around personality/truth than physical prowess. I was also surprised the banished/murdered didn't find out the identity of the traitors(s) after leaving, which seemed a missed opportunity to show some reactions beyond: "oh, okay then".

But otherwise, it was great. I also really appreciated the way the BBC more or less let the show build its own momentum. They've supported it well in terms of very decent scheduling (and hosting, obviously), but didn't set it up with any real expectation over what would constitute good ratings.
 
To my shame I've been too busy to watch the episodes where icons Amanda and Maddy (+ Faye lol) get slain, but made time to watch this before the ending got spoiled.
My LIFE what an unexpectedly emotional finale? I was almost in tears at the end, despite not really giving a FLYING FUCK about any of them that remained. Hannah was such a flop, but somehow gave amazing eye-ography??

Gutted for Wilf, I was actively rooting for him by the end. If you're going to screw SO MANY people over you may as well make it worth it in the end :D

A little annoyed that the final three seem to be getting the media oppurtunities when it clearly should be Amanda, Maddy and Wilf also there too.

Wilf was doomed the second he was forced to recruit right before the endgame. Since the faithful were aware that the two banished traitors were female, the third traitor was more likely than not to be male. That would have left a choice of banishment between Aaron, Wilf and Kieran. If Kieran and Wilf had stuck together, they would have had to machinate to get Aaron kicked out. The second Aaron stood up and revealed himself as a faithful all eyes would have fallen on Kieran and Wilf. It would only have delayed the inevitable.

Wilf's hunch that only delivering a traitor to take the heat off him was the correct one. With so few left, it was such a high risk strategy that getting everyone to settle on Kieran rather than him and still not alert Kieran to the fact that he was behind the finger-pointing was bound to fail.

Wilf was screwed whatever he did.

I disagree. They get Aaron out; they then convince Hannah to get Meryl out. There’s nothing in the rules to say it wasn’t three women at the start and Hannah would have gone with the boys against Meryl I’m sure.0

And he also could have recruited Hannah and actually worked with her. They could have had three votes for whoever they were targeting because Meryl was CLUELESS.
 
I’ve heard of a lot of people disliking Maddy but only seen full on support for Amanda! That’s a rogue opinion!

I made us all watch this last night as family that I haven’t seen in months is NOT going to get in the way of me and The Traitors final.

Wilf is a prick and I was so happy to see him LOSE and watch him eat himself as he made out he was happy for the faithful’s to win though I didn’t want to see any of them win other than the absolute SWEETHEART Aaron. Meryl hopefully will come back next year and get every penny ripped out of her silly hands and hopefully Hannah spends it all on her ill fated comedy career as let’s face it she needs someone to write some decent material for her as she does not have a funny bone in her body.
