The Traitors - Episode 12: The Final

I have watched all of this in a little under a day (largely by forwarding through the tasks). How unimaginably THICK was Meryl?

A great show but it definitely needs some tinkering and a little more scope for the traitors to actually expose themselves.

Yes, as much as the faithful were on the whole clueless and had utterly the wrong approach to deciding who the traitors were, more opportunities for the traitors to reveal themselves (or fuck up) would make it more interesting.

And the obvious way of doing that is in the tasks, which would also stop them being a relatively uninteresting part of the show.

It could do with a little more jeopardy. Offering Maddy that choice to take 3k (which I think was about 5% of the prize pot at that time) wasn't a moment at all because you never believed she was going to take it.

Binge watched this over the past few days with the mother and a half concentrated sister who was asking questions by episode 9 of the show that she’d have known had she watched properly in the first place abd had to be shushed frequently.

WHAT A SHOW! Genuinely gripping and nerve wracking, I don’t normally get invested in reality tv. Wanted Wilf to win so much, his job was so much harder than everyone else’s left at the end. Begrudge the three winners winning ANY money as they were fucking clueless. Aaron and Hannah seem reasonably likeable but Meryl? Let me mess up 99% of my challenges, fail to stop any traitors and vote to the end the game with a traitor in it- here have £33K.

I don’t know how they can recreate this tension for a second run.

I'm seeing quite a lot of 'just binged The Traitors in 3 days!' type posts on twitter.

Frankly amazed that people managed to avoid spoiling it (or perhaps they didn't care), but I expect the iplayer streams are going to be impressive.

Still waiting on the complete BARB figures, but figures for week three are up on week two even excluding platform data.

None of my friends seemed to be watching it so there were no spoilers through them. I decided not to do any Traitors related searches on my phone in case it spied on me and sent me Twitter and Insta suggestions and messages. It really seems to have spread through word of mouth/posts. I imagine many more will end up watching it after the event rather than did on the real time coverage.

Yes, I guess being in the moopy bubble and also actively searching for tweets (which then obviously resulted in more appearing on my feed) could give a pretty distorted view.

I had a friend who invited me over the night of the final, and when I turned her down saying I was watching it, she had never heard of it.

Finally finished this, what a series!

Wilf surely will google himself and eventually read this: WILF WHAT A GREEDY CUNT YOU ARE, GLAD YOU LOST!

:)

Amanda was a total queen and such compelling tv. Glam-ma indeed.

Wilf was at first the one who seemed most likely to be discovered but played such a good game in spite of this, only to be completely outdone at the last hurdle. I think getting rid of Amanda was a big blunder because she was so solid and unflappable, whereas kieran really did both himself and Wilf in at the end.

The She's My Girlfriend moment omg.

For hot guy rank I'd go for:
1. Ivan
2. Amoss
3. Aaron
4. Matt
5. Kieran
6. Magician

Maddie continuously clinging onto her theory all season long was EVERYTHING.

Claudia outdid herself.

I'm so ready for the Aussie one now. And for a little mid year spin off where they don't tell you who the traitors are. :disco:

It really is a bit of an insult to be one the remaining faithfuls who survives, not that you’d care if you’re getting some cash. I’ve decided I’d play dumb and clueless if I went on.

Done. This was alright, I guess it was over hyped/not as essential as a binge after the fact. I wish the episodes were tighter I was quite bored by the end.

Wilfred is a villain but the others did fuck all (Meryl was extra oblivious but the other 2 were just as dim). Non of the faithfull actually did anything, Wilfred just turned on the other traitors and took them out. Alyssa was eventually a goner but Amanda could have flown under the radar.

It’ll be interesting to see how they play the second season, the traitors will probably backstab each other a lot quicker because of the way Wil played.

Oh I disagree. I would think the Traitors will work together more and consider sharing the pot because the Traitors all lost by going against each other this season.

It feels like this should have had about 12m viewers but for a brand new show I think that’s pretty impressive.

This was watched on the Gogglebox Festive Special. Was nice to relive it all again with the same bits being called out as we did on Moopy :)

C'mon season 1 finale, let's get this over with.
