The Traitors (UK) S04E05 (1 Viewer)

I imagine that Rachel intended sharing the information in the turret originally, had Amanda not been banished. But after she was banished, it makes far more sense to share it with the group as it no longer has value in the turret alone. And I agree that she would think if she's going to do it, people are less likely to question the validity of it immediately than had it been the following day.

Presumably Rachel figured that even if they hadn't been told, Fiona and Stephen would quickly realise they could use that information being known in the group to help them pick off a few more faithful.

Rachel just hadn't accounted for what a full on psychopath Fiona was (because HOW COULD YOU?), who already didn't trust her, and who also couldn't bear that Amanda would trust Rachel with that information over herself.

Rachel’s intention was clearly to direct people to look at the names Amanda had brought up which makes Fiona’s response even more unhinged but I’d have kept it to
myself.

I’m holding out hope that Reece reveals Amanda is his mum and corroborates Rachel’s story. I also hope that people realise that there was absolutely no need for a traitor to blow up their own game when nobody suspected them anyway, so the idea that either Rachel or Fiona would do something this risky if they were traitors is ludicrous.

I know they are traitors, like, but common sense would still suggest it was a stupid thing to do and that they’d best vote Jack or Adam off instead since theyve been suspiciously silent since day 1.

See I THINK I would have myself, but I can see (particularly as a Traitor) how tempting it would be to be trusted with information like that which you think you can use, only to have the value of it wiped out with the next banishing and before you have been able to discuss it with your fellow Traitors. Being given that info, losing the power of it and then NOT trying to weaponise it probably would have felt like a huge potential waste.

To be fair, they voted out Hugo just for making notice of himself with zero evidence of him being a traitor...

But they had hurricane Harriet on the case then. Sadly she expended all of her energy on that one victory and now she only has the strength to nod sagely and say ‘I hear you’.

Harriet to me feels like she's very much biding her time.

Anyway I'm thrilled about the carnage that has resulted from the secret traitor business, so it was all worthwhile, but can you imagine if we were all sitting here trying to pointlessly guess who it is? It does feel like rather a long time ago!

I saw an internet rumour that Harriet has a dedication in one of her books to her brother Hugo…..

Her dad has a Wikipedia page and his surname is not the same as Hugo's so unless he had a lovechild out of marriage on a jaunt to Wales, I doubt it.

I fucking hated Amanda for what its worth. The epitome of ACAB
