The trend for long sentences with obscure references as a thread title continues into Monday. This report from Eugene Fraxby.

I've woken up really fucking miserable and I know it's because Mr Sheena's family all came over last night, I did all the cooking, cleaned the flat and basically did EVERYTHING to make it nice, he had one job, which was to put proper felt pads on the bottom of the extra chairs we got out of the loft and he did them in EXACTLY the way I told him not to and now there is a massive ugly gouge in the middle of our lovely wood floor that we got done earlier this year.

I realise this is not a reason for UTTER depression, but it's REAL. FEWMIN.

I'd be more fuming that you'd done all the work and he hadn't really helped. He could have cleaned the place while you were preparing the food surely!

Mandy's on her way back from Butlins today. She's been at some 90s weekend, out until 2am most nights. Sounds hideous. But she did get to see Blue and A1.

He was working, so I wasn't THAT bothered about that. I'm TOO NICE.

I’m off to New Orleans tomorrow and I still haven’t packed :)

People who pack more than a day in advance are WEIRD anyway.

The family have been a nightmare while in Poland. The older Poles mostly, pushing us to do a million things a day, when we all (especially my parents) need to rest. My Dad has fallen over twice (once down a mine!) and my mum is disabled anyway and the Poles thought it was a good idea to drag them out a car at 9pm last night to show them the HIPSTER STREET FOOD AREA OF KRAKOW. I barely cared.

It's actually just my older cousin who's pushed it (she did give us a wonderful tour yesterday). Her husband and daughters (who are wonderful, and love having British "gay uncles") have all been sympathetic towards us. She wants us to go on a boat ride today. I've put my foot down, my folks aren't going anywhere until the transfer arrives and me and Mr Ag are going to escape for a couple of hours.

My Dad has basically gone feeble over the week. It's quite the sad/ pathetic sight. I actually feel sorry for him. Mother has been typically resilient. Thank God for Mr Ag.

Don't feel guilty! This is your holiday as well ❤️ it's only a few hours. Enjoy your time alone.

Yeah, Rachey is right- don't feel guilty. Carers' guilt is fucking real and something I have to face down daily. You deserve a bit of time to yourself and you deserve to prioritise your own mental health/ sanity.

Your parents probably don't give two fucks, either, and are enjoying the time at the hotel with their family.

You can only be there for other people if you're feeling up to it yourself anyway. If you burn out, you won't be able to be there for your parents, Mr Ag or yourself.

Yeah, we all need time for ourselves, regardless of the circumstances.
