The UK: The Keir Starmer years - RESIGNED

Dreadful obviously, but do they even have 332 real people to field as MPs? Weren't a lot of their candidates last time fake? And they seem reduced to fielding 19 year olds as councillors. Definitely a grim and seemingly inevitable situation :zombie:

Consolations from that map.

1. Wes Streeting loses his seat.
2. That’s it.

I imagine the replacement Reform Health Minister and replacement Reform MP for Ilford might *not* exactly be an upgrade

Apologies, I thought Ilford was somewhere in the provinces :shy:

Everyone is sleeping on Reform.

Right now Farage is Trump in 2014. We have a chance to learn from the US but of course we won’t, because we didn’t as a country believe Boris was a threat until he was and then it was too late.

GB News is growing in popularity, there’s anti-immigration marches happening with increased frequency. The language on social media has really changed as there’s clearly an underlying campaign to legitimise xenophobia and patriotism. It’s WORKING.

Based on socials everyone else seems to still be dismissing it as a bunch of racist thugs. That’s incredibly naive. Reform are gaining ground massively with boomers and students who are looking for someone to blame for the world being fucked. These groups are least likely to make a connection between the rise of the right and the efforts the right will go to to create chaos and discord to push people TO the right, and least likely to recognise that it’s about money to the people they’re voting for, not immigrants.

The only entity that can possibly put the brakes on this now is Labour, and so far they’ve not shown any ability or awareness to do so.

Anyone renting THIS for £4,000/month should be in PRISON.

What do you even do logistically with 474 arrested people?

Did they all just get a pre-printed certificate with their name Sharpied in?

I’m not against the principal of Inheritance tax, but I fear they’re just handing another poll boost to Reform. It’s consistently hugely unpopular as a policy - people love to kid themselves that they could climb the ladder/win the lottery and leave a big nest egg for their kids.

They are all at it. How the fuck are we at this level of discourse?

Good lord, this is pathetic to watch.

I don't think many SNP politicians have Scottish flags as decoration in their home, and they certainly wouldn't light up in glee to lie about it if asked.

In Glasgow "your dad paints roundabounts" has become an insult. Good. Except for actual maintenence engineers for whom I have sympathy.

I've not seen anything around these parts, although I see from local media they have been spotted in the areas of the city you'd expect.

There’s footage of a gang of idiots marching through Canary Wharf shopping centre chanting. Lots of kids there too all in black and of course riding bikes because these days you’re not cool unless you’re riding a bike indoors.

Funny how headscarves and burqas are wrong but white people are allowed to walk around with their faces fully covered by balaclavas and flags

I hate flags. In Belfast it is quite depressing when the nearest flag being three streets away is quite novel. Usually they're staring at you in the face. Especially in July when horrible men in Rangers tops are stumbling up ladders and panting trying to put up obnoxiously large paramilitary flags despite most of us hating them.

rather than wanking off over a fucking piece of rectangular polyester have they all tried just being less of a LOSER!!! I think that could be a good strategy.
