Why would you call on the government to abandon Net Zero on a 35 degree day in May? GET A GRIP.
 
How is he even still in that party given some of the people they have thrown out of it.

we're really not spending that much money on "net zero" - and to be clear those ambitions have been significantly scaled back since Starmer took office - but also, reaching net zero means investing in clean energy which is an industry of itself and can be highly profitable (and already is). it's not spending money to get nothing back as rather fiendishly framed by R TONE.
 
Never quite sure why we waste so much time on long dismissed former Prime Ministers.

Ok Major and Brown have some nice angles, but Blair lost his mind entirely to ego while he was still PM.
 
He is to Labour as Thatcher is to the Conservatives - he’s always going to be the ghost at the feast.
 
It's a shame that the UK public won't learn lessons on personality politics.

We should actually take note that our only vaguely sane past PMs (Major, Brown, very borderline May) are the ones who were maligned and deemed too boring to rule at the time.

I WANT a boring PM. Boring means they're hopefully getting on with all the dull aspects that the job entails - fuck Trump style showmanship, get me a dullard who'll make sure everything is done right & properly.

I couldn’t agree more, but unfortunately politics is a circus and people want personalities. They might say they want what you’ve said, but time and time again they get drawn in by the election pageantry and empty promises and voila.

Incredibly arrogant and delusional if he thinks his appointment alone would "reset" the vote on Day 1.

Doesn't seem unduly bothered by what is and isn't his information to share does he... not a good look for someone who wants to be PM.
 
to be fair to Wes (oh god I want to DECAPITATE MYSELF) wouldn't it be quite normal for phone numbers to be passed around between people in the Labour party (and within any political party)? I'm pretty sure standard process is not asking permission first.
 
There was a Labour Party meeting on Zoom going on for members (I'm not one but one of my sisters is) that just finished. It's interesting that this is the only one Keir's done so far, finished a bit early too 😅 but his considerations were decent on the whole.
 
I am very for this in principle, although apparently in Australia something like 90+% of teens have been able to bypass it somehow.
 
I'm worried about how this ban will work in practice. I'm assuming it will just be an extension of the porn age checks which are both ridiculously authoritarian for adults and beyond easy to circumvent.

I don't understand why this isn't a legal duty on parents to ensure the WiFi/phone they provide their kids have the appropriate protections
