If you squinted, you could see why certain people might vote for them back in the day. Now, though, they offer, deliver and stand for literally nothing other than the latest whim of the hard right minority they desperately crave the approval of.

The latest theory is that they know they are probably(god...please) going to lose the next GE, so all this cuntery is basically them sticking the middle finger up and doing as much damage as possible so they can blame everything on a futurw minority/wafer thin majority Labour government who won't be able to fix much of the Tories mess in the space of 5 years.
 
I speculated something similar elsewhere. I think the reality is that what they're doing now is what Brexit was for - crash the country economically and then hold a fire sale: everything's for sale, especially the NHS and even whole cities (for this hideous 'Charter City' concept). This is what the exit from the EU was leading up to and Truss is going to do it.

The trophy hunting thing is a bit more complex, but it can't be that hard to make a clear difference between conservation techniques and people just being awful cunts. Not that I trust this lot to draw the line
