The United Kingdom: The Liz Truss CRASHING THE PORK MARKET WEEKS 🐷🐖📉📅🥬 (1 Viewer)

No word on the PORK MARKETS but a good day for the LAMB MARKETS :)

Just reading that the US Department of Agriculture rule which prevented imports of lamb from the UK also applied to - and has been rescinded for - the EU as well. So this deal is seemingly nothing that would couldn't have signed had we remained in the EU.

Fucking hell

It shows you how anti-science they are. They are totally against the advancement of knowledge and understanding. They just want a set of rigid baseless norms imposed at all costs. Dangerous, monstrous buffoons.

As if that won’t fail spectacularly. She surely has SOME people around her among that shower who can explain this. SURELY.

She's literally targeting Michael Gove as an individual here, although I think we were all under the impression he was more of a coke and pills man.
Yeah, introduce mandatory drug testing in the commons with the results being posted online each week if you really want to stick the boot in with Gove.

Braverman is a particuarly unique combination of evil and stupid.

Not that any of the other uncaring fuckers were any good, but there's a unique sense of the country running away from this CRETIN of a Prime Minister.

It's such a joke that this woman is health secretary :D

Thérèse Coffey, the health secretary and deputy PM, also refused to deny reports that she intends to shelve the government’s proposed smoking action plan in her morning interview round.

The government had committed several times to publish a tobacco control plan “later this year”. However, the health secretary, Thérèse Coffey, does not intend to honour that promise, according to officials with knowledge of her intentions.

Coffey, who is also the deputy prime minister, smokes and has previously accepted hospitality from the tobacco industry. Since becoming an MP in 2010 she has voted in the Commons against an array of measures to restrict smoking, including the ban on smoking in enclosed public spaces, the outlawing of smoking in cars containing children and forcing cigarettes to be sold in plain packs.

They aren't even pretending to care any more. This is her doing what her sponsors in tobacco companies want her to do. Meanwhile a couple of days ago the same party claimed cannabis causes cancer. Mental.

She voted against nearly all anti-smoking legislation, including banning smoking in cars containing child passengers. Because personal freedom trumps all. She’s absolutely at the wims of the tobacco lobbyists. :manson:

She had no experience or background in health. She’s only in the post because Liz and Tiz are good mates.

So, we're on for a financial collapse on Monday then - BoE will stop the emergency bond-buying scheme on Friday.

Meanwhile Jacob Rees-Mogg has accused the BBC of breaching their impartiality guidelines by suggesting the pound crashed because of the "mini-budget". :manson:

Just speaking to mother dearest and after years of not voting at all, she's just committed to voting Labour. She's fucking furious about the current government. I've never heard her so politically angry before.

I've been hearing anti-Tory conversations in staff rooms now, which I've never heard before. The tide has turned according to this book of stats.

I'm amazed anti-Tory conversations haven't been happening in staffrooms since forever!

I've only been in teaching for just over a year, but having been in several schools in that time, I've kinda got the impression that they're kept pretty low key conversations. I've seen heard several in the last couple of weeks. But yes I presume schools aren't generally hotbeds of Toryism. The kids all think she's a weirdo.

Although my mother has been rewriting history claiming she's always voted Labour, which unless she was lying to appease my Tory Dad is simply untrue. Still I'm pleased to hear she's finally committed.

Truss responds by saying: "What our budget has delivered is security for families for the next two winters.

FUCK OFF YOU SAD TROLLOP
