The United Kingdom: The RISHI RICH Sunak ERA

I’ve had it up to HERE with all of this so I have decided to out the Tories on Moopy

Are the government actively trying to get more strikes? I can't see any sense in this otherwise.

I often think the best way to rally your own staff is to make a complete fucking mess and then tell them that they’re the ones who will have to sacrifice their own income to pay for it, all while voting to give yourself a pay rise. Get these cunts out and fucking set fire to them.

Is it a way to influence the boards to focus on the inflation bit of their remits?

They’re meant to be independent, but perhaps by making this statement, it influences them to reduce their recommendations slightly?

The pay review bodies are already a lot of nonsense.

I think with the NHS they already adjust their recommendations based on whatever evidence the government submits. During the Cameron years we had the government saying they wouldn't increase pay by any more than 1% hence the recommendations were always 1%.

And anyway if inflation is being driven by pay increases, it is because of the top 10% of earners in the UK, like Rishi's hedge fund and City banker mates. Yet again the Tories act out of self-interest and punish the wrong people.

The (supposedly independent) board on teachers' pay is recommending 6.5% for teaching staff but Gillian Keegan has refused to comment on it which hardly bodes well. This despite her saying that she would take their recommendation if the (laughable) offer from a couple of months ago was rejected by unions (which it was).

I wonder if the country will get back the money spent on hundreds of butlins chalets that won’t be used?

No doubt we’ll make the Rwandan government buy them back at a profit :)

Maybe I'm being overly idealistic but it feels like the right wing dream is crumbling. Brexit is a fucking failure, Boris is dead politically, this 'tough on immigration' shit holds no water and the long term impact on the public's bank balance is finally making people angry about how the country is being run.

Still clinging on to the hope that Kier is going to suddenly become a left wing hero but hey, even the ultimate centrist Dad has to be better than this.

Pouring shit straight into the rivers seems to have cross the final line for a lot of people on the traditionally Tory south/south-east coast too.

Boris getting his comeuppance was something I only ever dreamed of but I do remember during his worst excesses thinking “this can’t continue without some sort of retribution” because I do believe that at some point the world can’t help but correct itself, and when someone is being that far from the norm, there’s going to be a fix. And that’s what happened to him. Similar to Trump albeit less batshit.

Brexit on the other hand - too many people still don’t want it reversed even if some of them can recognise its failures. Easier to blame lack of support than to recognise it was never going to work in the first place and they were wrong.

I suppose the economy and what’s in people’s pockets is much easier to influence politically. Racism and xenophobia - much harder to change.

Even my right wing anti immigrant cousin has said he's going for lib dem at the next election.

Some of the most right wing people I know are at a point where literally everything is ‘this government’s fault’, it generally feels like everyone realises the Tories are shit and want no part of them.

Nigel Farage has lost access to banking and is making out he is a victim of persecution when clearly hes been tax dodging and receiving money from spurious sources

Odious little cunt, always the victim.

Might be something to do with that dodgy investment scheme he was punting on Twitter at some stage but, yeah, more likely unexplained "donations" into his accounts. Could also be money coming in from sanctioned countries - wouldn't be surprised if some very iffy Russian cash had made it to his sort code and account number...

I wonder if Su Ellen and Rishi ever think about the fact that their flagship policy is only supported by the most batshit racists in their base who would chuck them on a flight out the country if they had the chance.
