I don't think that was ever going in. Dead as soon as Johnson was elected leader and Sunak doesn't want to alienate the homophobes too much in case he needs their votes.
 
It was on the cards in May this year and would have gone through if Miriam Cates, alleged conversion therapist and abuser, hadn’t stuck her oar in.

They are stoking it on purpose. Braverman wants a riot so that it can be used as an excuse for further hideous legislation that Starmer won't have the stones to oppose.
 
The Tories' latest enemy - THE POLICE! Doctors, nurses, paramedics, the entire NHS support staff, teachers, teaching assistants, rail workers, lawyers and the cops - all the absolute worst of the worst according to fucking Braverman.
 
I’m not sure I’ve ever hated anyone as much I hate Suella. I don’t even have any words for her anymore.

I even hate her for making me hate her so much. I hate her for taking up that much room in my head. I blame her for existing. Thinking of the damage that one person causes in this country.

She’s already been sacked once and investigated about three times. Why won’t she go away and die. I really want her out of my head. Toxic sack of shit.
 
Suella is calculated and pushing buttons to see how far she can go with all this dogwhistle racist bullshit before pushback as once she knows the limit it'll form her leadership campaign when Rishi gets cuckolded at the next GE.

Hopefully she gets hit by a bus full of homeless trans immigrants on the way to a hate march beforehand.

There are people saying she's intentionally trying to get fired to set herself up for her inevitable leadership bid, and that may well be true, but in all the discussion of her evilness, it's important not to forget that Suella is also very, very stupid. So hopefully she's overplayed her hand too much to bounce back from this.
 
She's toast, but, yes, surely it's for a leadership bid. Presumably long term after Rishi has CRASHED AND BURNED at the next election.

I don't see that she couldn't bounce back- it's not like she's even close to BORIS levels of nonsense at this point and that didn't seem to stop him :D
 
It's a shame because she's such a liability but she has become genuinely dangerous. I just want to never see this absolute steaming cat's fanny on my screen or in a paper ever again.
 
Could we see Suella jumping ship and chancing her arm at some sort of uber right wing splinter party a la Alba and the Reform Party? It'd crash and burn worse than Change UK did but I could still see her absolutely deluded enough to think she has enough fans for it to be onto a winner...

I've heard it reasoned that Sue Ellen leading the Tories after they get kicked out is a blessing for Labour. Presumably due to her being so insane, stupid and unelectable.

I'd say two things to that - 1. Never underestimate the ability of the British electorate to make terrible decisions and elect the Tories again in 5 years.

2. Even though that's probably(hopefully) true, someone that dangerous being near the levers of power( even "only" as opposition leader) is terrifying and it shouldn't even be coming to that in the first place.
 
She’s much closer to Trumpism now than Boris ever was - she’s developed that toxic relationship with the press where she says nasty shit and they fall over themselves to report every comment and stunt. It’ll turn into ‘any publicity is good publicity’ - an even darker version of Boris - and possibly never go away. Either leading the Tories or constantly threatening to.

I can’t see her ever being elected though. The sort of people she THINKS she’s courting are mostly too racist to want her as PM, ironically. They’d rather she was on the boat to Rwanda as well.
 
I feel the difference between her and Boris is he at least needed some level of approval, either from the media or public, whereas Su doesn’t seem to give a shit that everyone despises her.
