To be fair they're getting influencers from the countries people come over from, so it'll be Albania's answer to Gemma Collins getting paid £5,000 of taxpayer money for a stop the boats makeup tutorial.

But that's internal and fairly inbuilt into the Russian psyche.

This is aimed externally at those often fleeing desperate situations, not Russian teenagers.

I'm pretty sure neither Rishi or a lifestyle influencer has any fucking clue about the people coming over.

I don't disagree. It's a bit of both ultimately isn't it? Hope that British teenagers will see the videos too and be swayed. Propaganda essentially.

Tisch is right to point out the extent to which Russia is looked at by the Tories and the Republicans with envy. They have to try and do slowly and by stealth what Putin would do in a day with military assistance. In particular, the Republican party is stuffed with people who see Putin as someone who has "successfully" pushed back LGBTQ+ rights. You think Sunak wouldn't love to just arrest and jail Starmer on false or inflated charges? Bloody laws, eh?

It was very low during some periods of Corbyn’s reign and I don’t think it was particularly high when Starmer first took over either. The turnaround has been since the country shockingly discovered that Boris is a corrupt, dishonest, incompetent buffoon. And it was uphill for Labour ever since.
 
They're all just auditioning for Daily M@il columns and TV spots at this point. It's all so unedifying.
