The USA: Trump-Biden Transition - attempted coup + Trump IMPEACHED (AGAIN!)

Marco Rubio seems pretty secure in Florida. How does it work there? Would she have to run against him in a Relublican Primary, or would they potentially both be up against each other on the main ticket like the Warnock/Loeffler/Others election in Georgia?

Either way, if she somehow managed to screw Rubio over only to split the ticket and allow a Democrat to slip through, it’d just be too delicious...

She’d run against him in the primary. The run-off thing is a rule only for Georgia (and sometimes Louisiana). The idea of them splitting the Republican vote is too good to be true. There is a certain appeal to Marco Rubio being personally fucked over

If anyone thought this was the end:

"
The Electoral College voting on Monday -- on the legally mandated first Monday after the second Wednesday in December -- will set up an even more intriguing constitutional ballet on January 6. That is the moment when electoral ballots cast on Monday will be counted during a joint session of Congress -- another occasion that is normally perfunctory but that will take on extra constitutional significance this year. Some Republican House members have already urged Trump not to concede when he loses the Electoral College on Monday. They also want to hold a debate on January 6 on the results of key states over allegations of fraud. If one member of the House and one member of the Senate file an objection, that process can take place in each chamber. But it remains unclear whether any Republican senator is willing to take that step, which would be academic anyway since Democrats control the House."

They did it!!! Fucking finally

I’m going to allow myself to feel relieved for the rest of the night and I can start panicking about the senate races tomorrow

Disappointed with the lack of faithless electors. It’s my favourite part of the process.

He must be so embarrassed and unable to make it right! Each attempt just makes him look like more of a fool. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person though

Not to put a dampener on a result that should be a foregone conclusion anyway, but can we just take a moment to acknowledge that 3 members of the elected Wisconsin Supreme Court tried to block the election based on baseless fraud claims from a tyrant president. The Supreme Court. That's still really fucking terrible.

Oh yes that is completely unforgivable. I really don't see how America can come back from this. Why would the rest of the world have any reason to trust us?

I was happy earlier (for 3 minutes) and now its back to panic

They'll have more reason to trust you than they will us. At least your hateful government have mostly only been fucking with themselves.

More or less true, but I wouldn't say either country is in a great position

Mitch McConnell, Vladimir Putin and Jair Bolsonaro (God, what an unholy trinity :zombie:) have now all publicly acknowledged Biden.

Poor billy no-mates Trump. :(

Is this the prettiest right wing attack ever committed to tweet? Most of the "mistakes" are hyphens, which is a style issue I would say.
