The synths

are hot. but what's the point of making a soundtrack album for a tv show about a popstar that sounds exactly like the music you've been making for the last several albums? where's the GROWTH, Abel henny?

The Idol is screaming spectacular backfire on all scores right now.

I liked him before he became mega famous but since then he seems to have put all his musical tropes through a blender so many times it’s coming out like gloop - all I can hear is that voice doing the same thing over the same production. A conveyer belt of falsettos and 80s soundtracks.

I think I’d like to hear him mix it up a bit…

"After Hours" was a glorious pop era.

But I do want him to move on from it now.

He's not going to top Blinding Lights or Save Your Tears, so it's time to try something different please. He's capable.
