Third Party Thursday

Speaking of dirty I'm off to the tip for the second time in a fortnight and this is the big one. I'm gonna launch a ton of unwanted shit into skips and I can't fucking wait.

I think it's the different sections that gets me excited. I love having a browse in the electronics hut. And will there be a section for sad old Christmas trees?

I JUST CAN'T WAIT!

GOOD MORNING ALL. I am going to be a lady who lunches (just for a change) today. The man is taking me to Gleneagles for lunch. I do hope he doesn’t PRESS ON about taking things further or I may just LEAVE with the bottle of champagne OF COURSE. :disco:

I have a spot at the top of my head. Get off me

Good news - I've now got a fourth job interview lined up.

Bad news - It's three days after I've booked to go down and see my family for the first time in a year. Guess it'll be a FLYING VISIT.

I didn't know whether to love or sad reaction this so I went for a care.

Congrats on the interview. Is it a job you'd really like to get?

The job sounds really good, it's doing what I know how to do, and it's for an organisation I'd really love to work for.

The downsides are that it is only four days a week, so the pay is a bit of a downgrade (but I'd quite like having a three day weekend), and that it's in quite a remote location and I don't drive. My current tenancy comes to an end in late September though, so that second one isn't necessarily a huge issue.

How remote is remote? Would you relocate to be close to it even if it was beyond Manchester?

Do it! I think having a job you enjoy and love can't be understated. It's a huge chunk of your life, even if is a four day week. (😍)

And you can use your extra day to get some hair work and build the portfolio I guess.

No chance of remote interviewing/working even in THESE TIMES?

I still haven't stepped foot in my office since March 2020 except one flying visit last June to pick up my laptop. They've been floating the idea of the horribly acronymed KIT (Keep In Touch and Kit) Day for ages, but it keeps getting pushed back. I'm in no rush to give up home working at all though.

*milks cow again*

Most of my interviews are remote initially but the final ones are still in person.

I haven’t done a single in person interview since COVID and I went through 3 different recruitment processes. That includes the job I got and will be starting in October. Though I HAVE already met my future team in person a few years ago on multiple occasions.

 being forced back in 50:50 from next week.

I'm not sure if I should ASK if it's possible. I sort of assumed places would be doing zoom interviews but all but one so far are in person. I've had to buy a bottom half to a suit and EVERYTHING.
I asked one employer while still in lockdown who was calling me to arrange an interview whether we could do it via Skype cause due to the restrictions in cross-country movement I could not travel to Athens and he said, yeah sure, I will call you back. Never did.

I’m interviewing at the moment too and I’m so not ready to go back to full time work. This part time consultancy malarkey is actually amazing but I do need to start earning proper money again soon

thinking of telling them I accept the job but will start next January, sure it’ll be fine :)

Where’s all my coastal people at?

we’ve had a full on seagull party on the top of our roof for the last three hours and at this point I’m ready to join the NRA and get hunting

I much prefer an in-person interview although they’ve seemingly been my DOWNFALL thus far.

The call tomorrow hasn’t been CONFIRMED, yet again this person contacted ME about a job and is now being super flakey, I can’t with these people, ARE THEY INSANE?

I don’t particularly want to work for the company as I’ve heard HORROR STORIES, but thought it worth pursuing in lieu of NOTHING ELSE.

do you already have a job? They sound like they need a massive swerve

The job that GHOSTED ME after 3 interviews really was a dream job and I’m finding it very hard to get enthused about anything else atm.

We have seagull chicks on our roof and it's been quite the TREAT in the early mornings recently :zombie:

They're filming in Glasgow again so I had a whopping round trip to get to work this morning. CHEESED OFF.

Is it the Flash filming? The videos I've seen are quite impressive, but they're going to have to CGI out all the signs for Greggs :o

I moved nearer the sea last year and the seagulls are always GOING OFF ON ONE.

I HATE THEM SO MUCH.
