Thursday causes inflation in Sweden

I'm really struggling now with the weather and need a rain break soon but I have an hour and a half meeting where I won't need to contribute or have my camera on so I might go for a lovely little walk during it.
 
Where's @Kate?

I'm off to Yayoi Kusama at Tate Modern next week and want to know if it's worth it.

Probably should have asked before buying the ticket though.
 
God please no more inflation and rising interest rates.

We enjoyed it! It was nice and quiet when we went even though it was a Saturday afternoon, so we went through the second room a few times. Hopefully you'll find the same. Tickets were only £10, right? I'd say definitely worth it, but I am used to London prices...

I'll be there lunchtimeish on Wednesday, so hopefully it won't be too busy. I think they only allow a certain number of visitors at a time anyway, don't they? And I'll be on my own so can loiter to my heart's content.

A tenner doesn't seem too bad at all for something I want to do myself for me, considering the amount I've spent on recent trips to places like the London Eye and that bloody Shrek Experience and had to pay for a couple of kids as well.

I think I may well even book myself into somewhere more extravagant than usual for lunch. I'm planning on doing a self guided walk, so I'll do some investigating for nice places to stop en route.
 
I am trying to get my Mum's house valued. So far, there has been a £75k range in valuation- £100k if you count the top estimate rather than their "realistic" one, from £350k to £450k.

SURELY THAT'S RIDICULOUSLY WRONG?

When we had Mr L's mother's done about 4 or 5 years ago there was over a 50k range on a house worth about a third less, so it doesn't surprise me.

I only remember the agent who went up in the loft and gave me a lovely glimpse of stomach and underpants, though.

The one who gave me the lowest offer was the hottest by far, which upset me as I thought me and Ben could have had a LOVELY TIME.

Is it a THING to just give a ridiculously high offer to get you on board then to just ignore that or something? I've really not sold a house before, so no idea...I know to keep to a short contract etc. in case that's the issue.
 
I'm so bored!! The shop is now 30 degrees and I haven't seen a customer for 2 hours, just trails of festival people and their alcohol, and the odd elderly couple walking around confused by the festival people.

I managed to get a ticket to the festival for Sunday to see Niall Horan and Robbie Williams. My first ever festival. And it's going to rain 🤦🏻‍♀️

Valued by a property surveyor, or valued by an estate agent?

Estate agents have no idea. Half of them try to inflate the value to get your business, the other half give something lower to try and get a quick sale & commission. Bunch of charlatans, the lot of them.

Yes, in the two rooms they only let in a certain number of people at a time and you're only allowed to stay in there for 2 minutes. But if there's no-one else waiting behind you they let you stay. And after they do kick you out you can just go back round and queue again.

Estate agents. I agree it's a world of absolute WIDE BOYS so far.

Check on Zoopla to find out what similar neighbouring properties have sold for recently.

Yeah, I already have, but it’s impossible because the house is fairly unique. It’s a different size to every property on the same block as it’s a connecting property between smaller and larger ones and they made up the difference- it’s bigger than them all.

That’s so cool! I have been looking for a Nadine t-shirt with that iconic quote for years.

I had an operation on Monday and I had general anaesthetic and I started saying the whole Nadine passport thing when I woke up and was still off my tits and the nurses with me were killing themselves laughing. :D
 
I’ve been in a meeting for over an hour about a $5 discrepancy. What a waste of everyone’s time
