Thursday desperately discounts its posts for a better chart position

Back at work after a few weeks off sick. One of my old schools, that I really loved. Although apparently it's a day of science lessons. :nononono:

¡Buenos Dias!

I’ve been up since 3am for an early flight to Malaga ✈️

Liverpool airport really is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Enjoy. October really is the best month for almost anywhere in Southern Europe.

Morning! I’m off work for a week and a half for the London Film Festival and still have 7 days left to take before the end of the year. All the office parents who have now used up ALL of their leave before Christmas are baffled at the idea of taking time off post-Summer

The class whatsapp group is the most PAINFUL thing sometimes. Last night someone asks if it's uniform today as they're on a school trip. Someone confirms they checked with the teacher and it is. First thing this morning someone else asks the same.

I'm taking time off between end of October and mid-November this year.

*people with children IN SHOCK*

The best thing about Liverpool airport is the scouse girls flying with rollers in. Nowhere else in the world does that happen.

Morning. In work late cos of appointments and stuff. Got as warm a welcome as 30p Lee at a food bank. The vibes in here are just OFF.

Oh, and Steven Wilson would have to pay me £4.99 to listen to his album.

Our office has (had) a gorgeous bay tree in the courtyard, several weeks ago one resident complained to the council that the branches overhung the pavement so the council issued an order to get it trimmed. It's been cut right back this morning and looks so awful. The tree surgeon said he had to stop six times because other residents saw it being cut and had brought bags out to get leaves for their cooking. I was there when one of them came over so I made sure to tell her which house had complained, stir the pot a little.

All because one bloke didn't like drips of water from the branches on his bald head when he walked past.

I normally sleep like I've been sipped a rohypnol but twice this week I've been tossing and turning all night. HMPH>

Relatable. I'm VERY STRESSED and I don't know why. I'm in no more a stressful position than normal but my brain seems to be having a fucking MELTDOWN.
Oh I know why. I have a shitload of work to finish before my vacation, mostly on stuff I don’t have much experience with AND I’m also moving in the middle of all of this.

Just witnessed the worst shoplifting attempt I've ever seen. 2 absolute streaks of piss had filled two baskets and tried to do a runner with them. But they were so weighed down by how much they were trying to steal that the security caught up with them in about 4 steps. One of the security blokes actually said "thank you" and he took the basket off her, sarky bastard.

On a week off but was asked to join a call where they announced my whole department is being outsourced next month so we have all been allocated new roles none of us want to do. The feckers put our mics on mute whilst they read the statement and then closed the meeting.

Bastards.

Classic capitalist strategy - don't offer redundancy, change people's roles, make them unhappy then watch them leave voluntarily.

Oh hi Moopy.

I've just started a new book so I'm enjoying it in a relaxing bath, my first bath since Heathcliff died. It's odd not having him screaming at me.

But, to cheer myself up, I'm getting a hamster.

Hamster care has changed a LOT since I had one as a child. So far I've spent £280 on bits just as the bare minimum recommendations 😬

What absolute cunts :o I’m so sorry

Yep. Shocking I know. But the new RSPCA guidelines state the enclosure has to be 100x50x50cm, that's cost me £120.

Wheels have to be 28cm now! That was £20.

They need 10 inches of substrate to burrow in, and need several different types of substrate, another £50.

They need a sandbath, who knew 🤷🏻‍♀️ multiple hides and things to do.

If I'm doing this, I'm doing it right. Like I have with my previous pets I got as an adult.

First day back and I've dealt with a nasty slice of transphobia in the classroom (I lost my rag, and was almost very unprofessional, but pulled it back).

On a better note, I found out a pupil is related to someone VERY FAMOUS, which I must say I was quite excited by.

Just seen some info on microdosing on mushrooms and my first thought was on @big ron - thoughts? Pain relief and better mental health seemed to be the take home messages.

Lots of people swear by it, the evidence is growing. Psilocybin mushrooms are so harmless at sub perceptual doses that you have nothing to lose from trying it. I can dig out some info on protocols etc if you like?

I've done mushroom tincture. :disco:

Cordyceps and something beginning with R.

I’ve never done mushrooms.

I kinda fancy a bash.
