Its deffos an age thing, weve just been talking about it, I’d rather be out on my bike or doing something than nursing on the sofa, I’ve had a good run.

I can't see me ever giving up entirely, but I've got to the stage where partying just fills me with the dread of the next few days. The waking up depressed and the fear for 3 days after aren't compatible with looking after an 81 year old disabled woman, travelling to Wales to go to work and running a company.

I signed up to online Slimming World yesterday. They've removed Philadelphia as a healthy extra

Also, I went to the shop today to just make fudge because we've run out and only have gift boxes available. Had to open the door because the windows were steaming up.

3 hours and £230 of fudge sold later and we now have absolutely no fudge to sell tomorrow

Also, I'm much more if a daytime drinker than a nighttime going out drinker now.

Lunch and drinks from 1pm, home by 5pm, asleep by 9pm. Perfect.

My alcohol consumption is almost zero these days. That's thanks to Covid, a sensitive gut and also just dreading waking up with a hangover. I already ACHE ENOUGH AS IS without having had too much to drink.

So my daft mother had an appointment with her GP this morning and he confirmed that she's got a disease/health problem caused by two faulty genes, it's not serious, easy to deal with and they only discovered it because something flagged up in blood tests for something else so they did further tests.
My mum's first question to the GP: how long have I had this then?
GP: Erm, since birth ...
