lunch with the girls shortly, and booked my holiday for the 15th. After feeling very out of sorts for pretty much the whole of December I have FINALLY got a second wind. :disco:

Where you going REET? We're going away on the 15th.

I made a decision last year to FUCK January, basically do very little work and just get my head together. It works BEAUTIFULLY I find.

it’s the best way. January and the tail end of Winter generally can be very difficult, and I know you and Mr S have had a very hard time over the festive period. Sometimes it’s nice just to fuck off and not have to put a face on things for a while, recharge and reflect. I made a conscious decision when I debased from Scotland last year that I was going to travel more. 21 years of being a pretty hands on Mother, and now the kids are older and don’t need me as much I am going to go back to what I was doing before I got married and “settled down”.

Cape Verde. I needed somewhere kinda the same time zone to be able to work if i need to.

Fabulous. I have never done Cape Verde but it is definitely on my radar. You will need to let me know how it was when you get back. It looks like they are getting better weather there than where I am headed at the moment. Hopefully it picks up by 15th.
 
Seriously, though, that reminds me- the amount of cunts I saw throwing themselves into icy water on New Year's Day here drove me mad...
 
We booked a trip to Paris last night, we're going in the middle of March for just under a week. I've somehow never been :o
 
We did an amazing quad bike excursion round the island while there. Never done it before and it was very exhilarating

I'd love that, Mr Sheena would POO HIS PANTYLINERS. Although we are talking excursions- we're having two weeks, which is the first two week holiday I've been on in FOREVER (certainly since I met Mr Sheena 14 years ago). We're having the floors done in our flat (proper wood throughout) whilst we're away so we need to just be out of the way but I imagine I'll be bored to fuck with just lying by the beach after the first week and will need to get out and do some fun stuff.
 
Came back to Paris last night. Couldn't find my luggage when I landed, but instead found a similar one that stayed on the belt once the delivery was done and all the passengers were gone.

It look a couple of hours to find the stupid cunt who took my bag and for her to come back to the airport and bring it.

Needless to say, I was VERY ANGRY.

What a fucking day.

Moving out next month, had a house viewing earlier and have a flat viewing this PM. The house was a really nice 1930s semi but the guy showing us round spent 10 minutes talking about absolute rubbish. Could barely swing a cat in the kitchen. Don’t think it’s the one.

The flat later looks better - we want more space than we currently have but I’m happy to stay in a flat providing it’s a big, spacious flat. Plus it’s by the beach.

Wish me luck!

Exhausted after arriving in France last night. Ran off with the first piece of luggage I saw on the conveyor belt, but when I saw it was filled with twelve types of lube I was more than happy to return to the airport to give it back to its owner.

I wouldn't worry. @Sheena may well disappear at sea, mid holiday, in ominous circumstances, but you can rest assured she'll be back in ten years with a camp one-liner, an improbable plot twist and possibly an all-new face. :disco:
 
I really want to do Cape Verde! And Bali.

I think we are all packed ready for tomorrow, but does anyone know if I have to take a power bank in my hand luggage or can it go in my checked luggage? I keep reading different things :confused:

No. Just yesterday at the counter I was asked if there was no power bank in my luggage before checking in.

Also, when I was in Peru, just before boarding my friend was asked to go and remove the power bank from his luggage AFTER he’d checked it in.
