Who was the weatherman who pranced around the big weather map in the Albert Dock in Liverpool?

I'm sure he ended up being a pedophile. Or maybe it was just some scandal about being outed as gay. Let's face it in the 90s tabloids that was about the SAME THING

FRED summink. He definitely got outed as a sex pest, but I can't remember if it was kids or not.

Also they could at least have used the Alphabites to SPELL something and set off the majesty of that lovely party platter
 
My food tastes can't be that low end after all as I would NEVER eat fish fingers with baked beans OR Betti Spaghetti :)
 
I remember THE GREAT STORM. I woke up in the middle of the night worrying about my granny, so went up her house in darkness just to make sure she was okay. Needless to say she had slept right through it.

The next day we had a geography field trip to Shropshire. I remember some LOVELY CHEESE from a market in Ludlow.

I can certainly recommend most of the tempting, vitamin-rich treats on offer (in some quantity or another), although I've yet to sample Turkey Dinosaurs - too pricey :( - so can't vouch for their sumptuousness

One of those Potato Smiles looks a bit sullen and could do with a stern word, but maybe one of the Alphabites turned nasty :(

My memories are of waking up about 6am, wondering what all the banging was. I looked out the window and the woodland behind my parents house was destroyed as was all their fence. The general state of damage everywhere for the next few days/ weeks was quite bewildering for a 7 year old.

I think the South East got the worst of it, didn't it?

Or perhaps it was just more marked because I believe usually that part of the country avoids the worst of British weather.
 
Went to the supermarket for some groceries and wine (cause I've got another interview in the morning) and saw a nice cabernet sauvignon from the village on their wine racks.
And I bought it and now am still homesick but a lot happier. How is everyone hanging out with the storm?
