Apparently all the schools are closed tomorrow here as a precautionary measure

Thank fuck I don't work Fridays. I couldn't cope with hearing about everyone's childcare woes.

They're all closed up here too but that's because it's half-term. The lack of traffic this week has been a joy.

Apparently not - just checked and our schools are meant to finish tomorrow.

So how bad is this storm going to be. Are we talking 1987? Where's Michael Fish when you need him.

I’m quite excited about the prospect of a storm and will be bitterly disappointed if we just get a light gust in London. I realised last year upon clearing out my cupboards that I have a horrible tendency to stockpile which pre-dates COVID lockdowns and has resulted in my having 400 of those tealight candles from IKEA so no problem for me if the lights go out :disco:

Don't get jealous because you can’t read GFS charts with me and Apoca

I fancied making ramen for dinner, so called into the oriental supermarket on the way home from work to pick up some noodles and furikake. But completely forgot the word 'furikake' so went to ask - but also entirely forgot the word 'seasoning' as well, so couldn't even describe it. I had to make do with some Chinese 5 spice and some sesame oil, but it wasn't the same :(

We've been advised not to leave the house in the morning. And all public transport cancelled until at least 1pm.

Isn’t this just a BIT OF WIND?

Our council has just said we should “avoid the seafront”. FAIRLY difficult for me considering I can literally see the Isle of Wight from where I’m sitting, but STILL, I’m going to be FUMING if I can’t go to the gym in the morning.

Work teased wfh tomorrow all day and then five minutes before I finished decided we'd all come in anyway. FUMMING

If I'm going to die in this storm, I'm QUITE THRILLED she's called EUNICE :disco:

You have a meteorologist on here, y'know. 🤓

But yeah, at least for Northern Germany it's looking like a once in 5-10 years type of event, so pretty rough - same goes for the UK.

I hope it stays in Germany! I'm scared that trees will get knocked over and fall through our roof. well sod the roof, I like the trees :(

I just want a DRAMA FREE DAY.

I agreed to pop into work for 2 hours at lunch as we were short staffed and ended staying for 8, as my manager showed up TWATTED and had to be sent home.

Omg someone give me another job already I can’t cope.

Hopefully that’ll pay for my NEW TOOTH.

One of the regulars used to go to the same dentist, and it’s not just me, the dentist is an ARSEHOLE. So tomorrow should be fun.

:hostage:
