I'm watching Line of Duty because Mandy thinks it's amazing and that I would love it.
I'm also googling side effects of over usage of lidocaine because my leg has gone all purpley since I used it for my tattoo.

Yes! Mandy's watched them all but somehow I havent. I've recently finished Killing Eve and Luther. So I need a new drama.

I loved Killing Eve, and just have the last series of Luther to catch up on. Another good one is Happy Valley if you didn’t catch it.

Killing eve was amazing. The last series of Luther isnt as good as the others in my opinion. We are also watching Baptiste.

I missed an episode of Baptiste and haven’t been inclined to catch up. I wasn’t really sold and was probably watching it out of necessity rather than enjoyment.
Happy Valley is one of the best dramas I have watched. Series One in particular is EPIC.

Ah Babtiste has actually been really good. Just googled Happy Valley and it does look good!
I cant decide if I'm enjoying Line of Duty. It seems to be too much about the police and not enough about investigating murders.

Yeah thats what I'm not really enjoying. I prefer the murders and investigations. Is Happy Valley more much thing?
@Star I'm not sure. I've always said I'll only get ones that mean something to me and I'm very into wildlife, nature and scenery so theres plenty more I could get but I havent decided. I dont want to look butch

Happy Valley ( series 1) is in my opinion the best drama that has been on TV in YEARS. Sarah Lancashire is AMAZING in it.

Just got back from the vets with Ridley and you can call me gobsmacked. He needed to prescribe some painkillers that are very expensive and he asked whether they'd be covered on the insurance. I said they weren't as he isn't insured for anything leg, hip, arthritis, ear or allergy related. I asked what strength he'd be prescribing and it's the same as the strength that Mr F takes so I told him that, he said it was human ones that he'd be prescribing anyway and you can guess the rest! Obviously he wasn't allowed to tell me to use Mr F's spare ones but I left the surgery knowing how many to give him and when but I didn't take any tablets home with me. It still cost me £64 for some ear drops and we have to go back next week and have the same thing done again but I dread to think what it would have cost with the painkillers on too.

Does Ridley have arthritis Floppet? Did they do a scan? A few years back I brought my dog to the vet as she was limping and they done a scan which showed she had arthritis in both hips, and her front left leg. They prescribed painkiller drops to put in her food but it didn’t work. I bought a copper collar and noticed a difference and more recently when it was getting bad again I started her on flex which I also sprinkled on her food but she scratched like nothing else since I put that in her food and it turns out she is allergic.
She is 10 now, and is really slowing down. Do they prescribe human painkillers(that work) for dogs now? I think I might take her back to the vets again.

I also must add when they prescribed the painkiller drops, and they didn’t work I went back. I was told to give her tablets along with the drops and ended up finding the dog being sick and shaking profusely. Took her back a third time, and they had to give her charcoal as the dog had overdosed. I nursed her back to health and have not been back since.

He has a whole plethora of problems, mainly allergic and ear-related, but he has osteoarthritis. He had hip dysplasia as a small pup so had a femoral head excision on his right hip as that one was really painful to him early on. His left hip dysplasia was worse than the right one was but didn't seem to give him pain so we left it at the vet's recommendation. Eight years later it hasn't caused him too much pain and up to now any that there has been has been controlled with Previcox tablets and a strict diet. We knew that he'd have to go on stronger tablets when he was older because the only surgery option on his left is a full hip replacement and, at 8 grand, that isn't happening. The vet noticed tonight that he was much more wobbly at the back and was very careful sitting and lying down so this is to see whether it makes any difference and, if it doesn't, we can just stop it. He did say that he might be wrong and Ridley might not be hurting but if it was his dog he'd try it and see if it made a difference - if it doesn't we haven't lost anything and Ridley might just be a grumbly old wobbly-dog. He doesn't think that Ridley's in pain all of the time but he said it looks like he's being very careful which might mean his hip twinges and is uncomfortable or it could be his spine if he's been compensating for his back leg by walking funny.
They do dog Tramadol but our vet just prescribes the human version as it's exactly the same and cheaper. Same for his antihistamines, they're human ones too. The only reason his Previcox isn't for humans is because it contributes to heart-attacks and strokes in humans so they banned it (Mr F used to be on it, the chemist rang up one afternoon and told him to stop taking it immediately and bring all the tablets he had left for destruction), it doesn't have the same effect on dogs - I checked.
