Thursday isn't a poll clerk at the local elections

I got my European polling card through yesterday as I got home from work at 5:30...telling me if I wanted a postal vote I'd have to do so by 5pm that evening.

CONSPIRACY!

Don't worry though, loves, I've roped OLD ELLEN in to do a proxy vote for me

I'm not looking forward to it tbh - it's all a bit Brexity at the otherside of the polling station and there are a few flagwavers on my side too. Could be a bit heavy. I'll go early, that's my usual strategy anyway.

Oh God I wish DROOPY DRAWERS would DROP DEAD. Along with everybody else.

I'm trying to write a speech for an association I'm chair of's 25th anniversary dinner and I've sat looking at my screen on and off for an hour without having any inspiration at all.

I've just put some Sister Sledge on in the hope it PERKS ME UP :disco:

WELL DONE INDIEBOBS

All this and the news that ESTHER MCVEY considers herself a suitable candidate for PRIME MINISTER :argh::rolleyes::zombie::D

I am having a FAT NIGHT. Dominos for tea, and a nice big fat tub of Haagen Dazs for afters.

My never-ending disco odyssey does bring up some perfectly delightful record sleeves

I'm glad my ICONIC daily thread about the time I was poll clerk at the local elections (On a Thursday, if memory serves) is finally getting the recognition it deserves.

I'm going to post the same thread every Thursday until you are poll clerk at local elections again.
