Thursday seems a little on edge and not quite on the same planet

We used to say couch growing up. I much prefer sofa tho.

I've just downloaded the been NHS Covid tracking app that's only available on the isle of wight, because we are that cool.

It's so far taken 25 minutes to install and still isn't done :square:

:D Oh God SETTEE is so common, isn’t it. Naturally I’ve been known to use it quite often :disco:

It's definitely one which EXPOSES someone

Like using SERVIETTE instead of NAPKIN

I'm fist deep into reading about tragic sixties gays at the moment. This dated furniture chat it's putting me RIGHT INTO the homes they got chucked out of.
I genuinely thought you were talking about TRAGIC gays as in MilkyBarKid for a second there.

Fine thanks. I'm comfortable on this POUFFE.

I come from stock which insisted on pronouncing it POUFFEE. Not to mention Nescafé always being NESCAFF. Actually most of them STILL say “you was” so it’s a wonder that I have any savoir-faire AT ALL!

I trust we all have ANTIMACASSARS on our SETTEES? They are practically NUDE without them.

Argos EXTRA [The Remixes] :disco:
Next HOME [The 7" Edit] :manson:
Halfords [12" Instrumental] :zombie:

That SO isn't a precinct! Well, the Argos is. But you're thinking of an industrial, out of town shopping centre type place. That's not a precinct AT ALL!

A serviette is the disposable version and napkin isn't, though, RIGHT? Unlike "sofa-settee" etc., they're not ACTUALLY the same thing?

I know what a napkin is sure enough, but I'm not entirely sure what a serviette is to this day.

Cambridge Analytica will now be watching you.

The Southampton precinct (opposite West Quay) has ALL THREE!

She should have called it a faggot instead

Why have faggots entirely avoided any sort of renaming?

Not that I think they SHOULD, but no one BATS AN EYELID.

Is it called a precinct? I know where you mean, but it's NOT a precinct. It's not a pedestrianised "road" for starters. Palmerston Road in Southsea is a precinct:

I refer to it as THE PRECINCT, but I think it officially calls itself a RETAIL PARK to be fair...

I’ve forced myself to get up early today! Well. 10am. Had a dream I was in hospital for Covid and they put me on a ketamine drip.

My family tick ALL OF these boxes. I did as well till about 2010. :eyes:

THAT'S the word(s) I was looking for, RETAIL PARK! Yes, it's THAT, not a precinct. Precincts are much OLDER and SHITTER usually.

I would've thought the other way around? You hear of 'disposable napkins' but not 'disposable serviettes'

Exactly! Because the serviette is ALREADY disposable by its very nature!

I tend to use 'sofa' because I'm street, but I'm no stranger to going into the LOUNGE to sit on the SETTEE in front of the THREE BAR and have a BREW.

I also call ASDA 'the ASDA', and I don't think I'm wrong in this.

Specifically pedestrianised and UNCOVERED apparently.
