It's freezing here, but a beautiful morning.

Wasn't The Beast From The East exactly 5 years ago?

Oh it's lovely and sunny for sure. It's especially lovely going past the big country fields seeing the low lying mist in the sun.

It was, it's come up on my timehop that I walked to work in the snow.

I wouldn't do that now. My hips couldn't cope.

I now have to sit on the bus for 1.5 hours to get to work 😭

I've done a couple of one hour bus journeys through my job. Absolutely awful. At least there's a table and a loo on a train.

If anything mine is closer to two hours each way, as I have to change buses in the city centre.

It is quite arse numbing. But I love where I work those days - I could have chosen a surgery much closer years ago had I wanted to. I wouldn't want to do it every day, but twice isn't too bad. If I can plug into a podcast or audiobook I actually rather enjoy it. And if it's been a particularly harrowing session, it usually allows me to have discharged it by the time I get home.

It's only because of school traffic. And I do love a bus, I've started reading on them now. But still, it is a waste of my life.

If it gets you from A to B darling it’s not a waste of time at all and at least you like the bus. I couldn’t tell you the last time I got a bus but it wasn’t pleasant. One woman was sitting on the bus as another passed with a pram outside and they noticed eachother and started hurling abuse at one another through the window. The one on the bus opened the bus window and spat all over the the other lady outside then closed the window again and the one outside then spat back some disgusting grog all over the bus window so that was quite enough to put me off. It is not the bus itself it is the people that put me off. I never generally had to get the bus anyway as I drive. It was more when I was heading on a night out, or when I had my op on my back and couldn’t drive I had to deal with people on public transport.:zombie:

I forgot I put myself down to work and went to bed late last night. I was pleased to see I was able get up, shower, prepare and eat in just 30 minutes. A few weeks ago I would have found an excuse.

If you're reading, its not a waste of life.

Pretty sure I drove from one side of the island to the other in 30 minutes though?!

Very true. I am loving reading.

Also you can drive from one end to the other in about 45 minutes without traffic. But annoyingly where I live to where I work goes through all the main traffic jam areas...Ryde-Newport-Cowes. plus I have to chance buses.

Can we please take a moment to appreciate my artistic skills. I get paid to draw on chalkboards.

I'm in the Czech Republic this week - and I'm eating so so so well. Not one for Vegetarians/Vegans but I'm staying on a farm turned hotel and I had one of the best t-bone steaks ever. Honestly amazing.
