I loved the Goodies as a kid but came in at the end of the BBC run so didn't see many from the classic years until I bought a whole bunch of the DVDs when they came out in the mid 00s. Dated? Well, yes but I maintain that if your comedy doesn't date, you haven't sufficiently captured the world that was around you.
But the Goodies gave me that love of the surreal, of smart people being silly in a clever way rather than just custard-pie slapstick.
Later on, I got into I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue in the era where it was Humph in the chair, Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden, Barry Cryer and a guest. Those guests included people like Jeremy Hardy and Linda Smith, also gone.
Ah, that's a sad one for me, I gotta admit.

Now you've got me wondering if I should call mine.
This one's massively sad for me, I grew up on endless I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again humour, and lately ISIHAC. I had no idea of the scale of his influence but the public reaction has been much bigger than I expected.

Forever burned in my brain as the narrator for 1980’s child horror cartoon Gideon. Looking back, I can’t see what was so scary about it, but my Mum wouldn’t let me watch it any more as I used to wake up in terror from Gideon related nightmares.
