I’ve never seen any of the Alien films either but rampaging aliens wouldn’t scare me. I find things that I imagine to be more likely to possibly happen be scarier such as a crazed knife wielding lunatic hiding in a double door slide wardrobe in my spare room or a handsome stranger asking me for help at the shop and “tricking” me into his car.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely say I find something like Silence of the Lambs far scarier than Alien, because it's more grounded I suppose. Still, who's to say WHAT we'll find if/when we finally get out into space properly

I’m definitely more scared by psychological horrors too. But Alien and Aliens are just classic, classic movies. So many subtle symbolic connotations going on, so ahead of its time. And of course Queen Sigourney.
