Lots of interesting things on the horizon for TLC, none of which will probably make much of an impact but never mind.

Well the movie IS definitely going ahead, and they've said there will be an album too. :Oi:

I still say they need to do an album where every track has a featured female artist. I saw that idea somewhere else (maybe here?) recently, but I had it first.

It doesn't even have to be a rapper either, like if there was a nice ballid they could have some bitch like Ciara on it. SO MANY people would do it, and it would be a great way to make them relevant again - particularly if they can land a StooShe collab

The TV movie won't make any difference, but I'll be watching. Chilli was on Wendy Williams recently plugging some cooking show I think she's only a contestant on. Such a dull interview as well. They'll need a third to get interesting: whether it's a series of guest-slots, a 1 album (+tour) deal with one fairly known female mc, or a brand new rapper. The hologram concept is so tasteless and slightly morbid to say the least (it could work on Waterfalls though).

Over 20 years after making their debut, TLC is plotting a comeback. The best-selling R&B group is planning to make a big announcement next week that includes a new album and a surprise.

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas will be on hand at a press conference on July 25 in New York along with Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid. It is believed that they have inked a new deal with the music mogul, who signed them to LaFace Records in 1991.

According to a media alert from Epic, the duo will preview new music from their upcoming greatest hits album and play a sneak peek of their VH1 made-for-TV movie “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” starring Lil Mama, KeKe Palmer, and Drew Sidora.

Plus, a “special guest” will be on hand for a surprise announcement.

The group’s longtime producer Dallas Austin has been working on the album, which will commemorate the group’s 20-year anniversary. “We took a lot of the old songs and remastered them. We mixed them just to tweak them, make them better,” he told Rap-Up TV.

He also revealed some of the potential guest stars. “They did something with J. Cole, they might be doing something with Drake,” said Austin.

TLC will make their return to the U.S. stage at the Mixtape Festival at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA on July 26-27.
