Did anyone watch the movie? Overall it was QUITE BAD but I enjoyed it all the same.

The original Azealia Banks, thinking she has all the right to be famous but where are the TUNES to back it up?

I hope she doesn't get a sudden surge of goodwill thanks to this movie.

BUT on the upside, they're performing with a special guest at the American Music Awards, and according to a rumour :eyes: that special guest is BRAN'NU! :disco:

TLC May Have Been Dropped From Epic Records — Is Pebbles Feud To Blame?

It looks like TLC may have already been dropped from Epic Records — a mere four months after signing a new deal with the label.

Although not officially confirmed yet, a TLC fansite pointed out on Twitter that the group’s name has been removed from Epic’s roster, while the label’s logo no longer appears on TLC’s own website.

The duo only signed a fresh deal with Epic back in July to release their greatest hits compilation, 20, and new single, “Meant To Be.” In October, TLC confirmed to MTV that they were working on a new studio album with L.A. Reid, due for release in early 2014, and a couple of days after that, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story premiered on VH1 to record ratings.

It sounds like things couldn’t have possibly been going any better for TLC. After so much success, why would L.A. Reid (the same man who brought Ciara over to Epic Records at the lowest point in her career) pull the plug on a legendary act like TLC so suddenly?

Oh, hang on a minute: L.A. Reid is the ex-husband of Pebbles, who is currently engaged in a very public feud with TLC over her portrayal in their VH1 biopic!

Are we seeing a possible connection here?

Of course, we’re just speculating. We don’t know for sure if TLC were even dropped yet, and the whole Pebbles thing is just a theory we came up with because we couldn’t think of any other viable reason for Epic to ditch the girl group at this point in time (Please don’t sue us, Pebbles!).

I love T-Boz's throwback hairdo and the dancing and the overall vibe, but Lil' Mama WTF just stand still if you can't get the rap out while moving :Oi:
 
Yeah. There was some drama last week when they were taken off Epic's roster on their website, but LA Reid has since said they're still on the label and an album IS on the way next year.
 
Just doing "Waterfalls" as is was kind of a "is that it" type moment. And the fact that it was mimed aside from Lil Mama drained the energy from it. A medley would've gone down much better, I think.
 
Waterfalls is not a great "live song" anyway - and TLC were never good live performers, anyway.
 
Why did Lil' Mama have to do it live if the other two didn't? It was nice and not much more, but nothing to really complain about either.
 
They did No Scrubs on Dancing With The Stars last night. Lil' Mama was there, even though there was no rap...

TLC’s story is heading to the stage. Bill Diggins’ Diggit Theatrical Group is producing a musical about the beloved Grammy-winning trio that will premiere in 2026.

CrazySexyCool – The Musical will tell the “mostly true” story of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, as they formed TLC and broke barriers as women in the music industry. Diggins is producing the musical, with Stephen Gabriel serving as executive producer.

Kwame Kwei-Armah (One Love: The Bob Marley Musical) wrote and directed the piece, while Chloe O. Davis created the powerful choreography to some of TLC’s biggest hits that will be featured in the musical, including “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg,” “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” “Unpretty,” and “No Scrubs.”

“TLC completely changed the game,” Diggins said in a press statement. “Their music gave a voice to women everywhere, empowering them to be confident and unapologetic. But this isn’t just a story about the music; it’s about the sisterhood between these women and what kept them together through both unimaginable challenges and chart-topping success.”

T-Boz added, “Bringing this story to the stage is a dream come true. We have performed in a lot of different venues all over the world throughout our career, but bringing our story and music to the theater is a totally new and exciting challenge.”

Chilli agreed, noting, “We have some of the best people in the business working on this project. Audiences will get to hear our story – mostly fact with a sprinkle of fiction – told in our own way, and of course it’s set to all your favorite hits!”

CrazySexyCool – The Musical will host its world premiere at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, in June 2026 for eight weeks as part of the venue’s 75th anniversary season. For more information on the show, check out its official website here.
 
Ooh, and if Kwame Kwei-Armah is writing and directing, there could at least be a possibility of a UK tryout run somewhere or other if this is successful.

Yeah, I expected it to be awful, but it works and harkens back to their 90s stance. Shame Chilli wasn't doing it too. She sure does sound great, but utterly bored announcing herself :D

TLC didn’t get a lot out of the group at the time but she must still be healthy wealthy, SURELY?

I didn’t realise she was mad on that horrible tyrant. 😞
