HeLikedTurner a TERF? Either he’s changed a LOT or this is a case of mistaken identity. The guy I know loves nothing more than to trash JK, Roisin, etc for their evil views. Confusing.

When that username was posting on here, they shared some pretty TERFy views. Pleased to hear that’s no longer the case, if it’s the same person.
 
in a top secret space accessible only via cunty key card, comparable to many a Blofeldian lair, the nasty forum witches sat around their long table gossiping. they talked infinite shit about all without access to the once-top secret lounge-within-a-lounge, with strictly malicious intentions. the meeting lasted one hour, and when it was over, one operative was invited to take the elevator down to the lobby for safe return to the "real world" via cunty cable car. except, of course, the elevator had no floor. and that was the end of @K.C. the other forum witches cackled. many of them were bald. a rogue agent had been wiped out. in the regular gay chat lounge far below, another was under close observation. an hour had been successfully killed and the characters, bar one, would return in Tomorrow Always Slays. :disco:

What’s the storyline? Is it just their songs? Will it win a Tony?
 
Assorted thoughts:
  • I loved it! It’s not perfect but it’s a work in progress. The highs (the big numbers) were fabulous.
  • Left Eye steals the show - fantastic performance which captures her essence brilliantly.
  • T-Boz and her look so much like their counterparts. At one point their version of the CrazySexyCool album cover appears and the resemblance is spooky. Chilli doesn’t look or sound like her much. Plus they give her a blond wig for Act 2 and I don’t ever recall such a LOOK
  • It starts off with the sound of a car crash
  • The actress playing Left Eye actually recreated the video of Left Eye driving just before the crash and it’s played on a screen. Not sure how I feel about that.
  • Lots of bending the truth to fit a stage format which I suppose is fine. There’s an Usher character who’s called something else.
  • They have Left Eye sing a couple of songs that came out after she died - Hands Up (when she sees her boyfriend with another woman) and Damaged (when she goes to a retreat).
  • The big end of act one number is DEAR LIE, after Left Eye burns her boyfriend’s house down. Dear Lie officially the new Defying Gravity
  • No Scrubs is the first song in Act II and is INCREDIBLE. The video recreated in front of our eyes. Amazing.
  • They have songs from all their albums incorporated which was nice I thought. Even the shit last one.
  • There are a few songs that aren’t even theirs. Didn’t love those
  • It ends with T-Boz and Chilli agreeing to perform at an MTV Japan ceremony where they’ve said they’re recreating Lisa from video footage. Not sure if something like this took place in reality. Anyway she comes out and they perform Waterfalls together.

I can see Left Eye being nominated for a Tony yeah! Choreography too. Dunno about Best Musical, but maybe a nomination. Needs work.

There’s a very tiresome storyline about how religious Chilli is, and she has this big God-related song in Act 2 called Dance Again, when she decided she wants to perform again. No idea what that is.

The religious stuff will play well to American audiences I suppose, but very much not 4 me.

But no. I imagine it was cut or something, seems so obvious
 
One aspect I loved is how it begins: the crash noise and then T-Boz and Chilli are on opposite sides of the stage in darkness. You know that opening long thing T-Boz does in What About Your Friends? The real ones do. Anyway they both do it separately as a WAIL OF GRIEF and it’s really effective
