We just went to a TRAVEL AGENT to book our honeymoon. They were exactly as expected. Middle aged broads with drawn on eyebrows.

But honestly I can't be arsed to book everything anymore. Life is just endless websites. Let someone else do the work.

We're doing Italy for first time and I expect not for the last time.

Ooh what part of Italy?

Florence and Rome. A beginners guide so to speak. Rome for some hard touristing including a day out at Pompeii via Naples. And then Florence for art, food and wine tasting in the Tuscan countryside.

I'm actually about to leave the house. On a Saturday evening. What nonsense is this?

I'm very much staying in. I've cleaned the bathroom and am doing a proper meat, veg and potatoes dinner.

Bottle of red to sink me into the evening.

Ive been cooking a jamaican mutton curry and rice and peas. It smells fucking amazing.

I mean ive eaten a load of weed brownie so a pot noodle would smell decent, but still.

Amazing. I've not done Rome but have done Pompeii, I would also suggest doing Herculaneum which is next door and we found it to be even more interesting than Pompeii. It was still hugely affected by the volcano.

Florence is lovely and Tuscany is stunning. Sienna and Lucca are the two that stick out in my head as the nicest. Incredible pizza too!

I've had a busy fudgey day at work so I'm now relaxing in the bath with a hot chocolate. I've given up alcohol for 3 weeks until we go on our cruise. It's going well

Well, that was lovely - small scale, semi-private gig in a nice cosy room - an aces singer songwriter (who was also the soundwoman), some serious experimental noise, more singer songwriter and then some serious psychedelic vibes to finish. 4 acts and home before 10? That's my kind of gig these days.
