Lena Dunham's new TV show about a woman who works in TV and moves to London after being dumped by Jack Antonoff her ex.

I really liked Girls, I do find this quite funny at times, and it has some cameos from great British thespians (and Rita Ora!), but I don't think that shiny, glossy, one-size fits all Netflix production works here.

And as much as I want to like Meg Stalter, who plays Lena Dunham the lead, I'm not convinced she has the range.

All in all I'm not saying it's bad (I mean, I've watched a bunch of episodes so I'm enjoying it on some level) but it is quite underwhelming.

Has anyone else watched it?

I've just watched a couple of episodes. It is entertaining enough and I will continue but the tone doesn't feel quite figured out yet. It is only number 6 on the UK Netflix TV top 10 list which doesn't seem like a roaring success.

I am also quite concerned about how much we are going to see of 'Boss'.

She's a lot of fun in Hacks, but I watched the trailer and cringed through half of it.

I've never seen Leila Durham in action and not sure if I want to.

It is number 2 now behind Squid Game so take that back.

I've just watched the fifth episode and think I'm feeling the same way.

All the UGHs at Zev though.

I am actually obsessed with Meg Stalter in Hacks. Her performance in that is completely deranged and I’m basically hoping for the same in this.

Have one more episode of Hacks to watch then going to move onto this.

I love her as an agent of chaos in Hacks. She definitely has her moments in this too but some of the dramatic stuff I don't think is as good.

Just finished ep 4
It’s fabulous
Surprised Mopsy is not more into this but then not so surprised either 👁️

Getting near the end now. More Lena Dunham generally would be good and there is a wedding episode which I don't think I liked very much at all, but in the following one there is the aforementioned Ora featured spot and the most enjoyable guest turn from

a horned up Jennifer Saunders.

I couldn't commit a crime if it kicked me in the cunt INDEED :disco:

Not sure if I can be bothered to give this a go, do we get any SEXY WILL SHARPE scenes?

I take is this is the Megan Stalter appreciation thread?

Love her so much
