Woman 'shocked' after she's penalised for sending message in a bottle out to sea

A woman has been left out of pocket after a "cowardly litter picker" found her message in a bottle and decided to teach her a lesson.

Lorraine Forbes, from Eastbourne, enjoys sending the bottles out to sea - an activity which has long been a hobby.

On September 5, she dropped several plastic bottles over the side of Eastbourne Pier, which all included letters with her name and address - written on the back of a John Lydon gig flyer.

But her hopes of a new pen pal were dashed when her letter was returned to her anonymously in a parcel with no stamp, which was "full of stones to weigh it down" - meaning she had to pay £7 to retrieve it from the Post Office.

I fully participated in a campaign many years back where SAGA holidays said they wouldn't accept same sex couples in their rooms and the gays abused their Freepost address by sending telephone books/ yellow pages to them :D

Thing is she'd already been told to stop it before so she fully deserved it.
 
If she doesn’t like this, she’s going to be even less happy when she starts receiving enforcement notices from the council over fly tipping.

I don’t know why she doesn’t just use a natural deodorant. I switched to one recently and it’s far better than anything I’ve used before, just more expensive. Maybe she likes being stinky :D

Bit late to the story but one collapsed a few miles down the canal from me not long ago.

Cycled down to be nosy a few days after and the most surprising thing was around the dammed areas the water was crystal clear. Because the canal water is constantly flowing at a low rate I guess it kicks sediment up, but by the breach it was like a clear pond.

The two men where his personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. By the sounds of it, they were very close friends. :(
