Tuesday: An Exclusive Shopping Experience

Aye, one of our systems at work is on its arse because of Cloudflare. OH WELL.

I’ve just been to the Lowry at Salford Quays - the egg on their faces when they realise they’ve built this lovely shopping centre and forgot to put any shops in.

It's got a certain je ne sais apocalypse

I genuinely ate at the Burger King because of how sad the woman behind the counter looked. I saved a life today.

On the other hand, Salford Precinct is STUNNING. I’ve used the Tesco loads but I’ve never thought to explore the riches just across the road.

I think they rebranded from The Lowry a few years back to something completely unmemorable like The Waterside Shopping Centre.

It’s the Quayside now, I think. Full of the dreaded art galleries, children’s activity centres and community hubs they fill shopping centres with when they can’t attract anything worthwhile like Superdry or Ethel Austin.

Genuinely love this shit. My ate went to uni and her digs in first year looked out at this. It felt like doing ket in soviet russia.

If you like decaying out of city shopping centres, get to Stretford Mall before it gets knocked down. It's practically abandoned now, full on dystopia.

Well that was an EXCELLENT afternoon. Working all day tomorrow so glad I stopped at two glasses.

I used to live nearby and there was (probably not anymore) a neighbourhood of old council housing set to be demolished which was similarly post-apocalyptic.

I’m not really a fan of gentrification but Stretford centre needs it

If only you hadn't given in to the Burger King you could have treated yourself to the joys of Mother Hubbards:(
