Tuesday books a fortnight in Jaywick

I have my first day back in the actual office today. It’s a one off for them to show us around the new building but, needless to say, I have booked a half day anyway.

MORNING ALL.

I have decided to treat myself by working by the window today rather than my desk. The novelty wore off in about two minutes.

It's a shame they added functioning roads in recent years. Really stole from its charm.

I sometimes see buses heading to Jaywick and feel enormously rich.

I'm in for an obligatory day is SOOO QUIET and is fucking depressing. I'd be much more productive at home

i've yet to return to the office but they're starting to mandate it. I'm expecting i'll be in one day a week from September.

Hello beautiful Moopy. I am heading out to get my nails done, followed by a blow dry. I honestly don’t know how the HELL I managed throughout lockdown without such NECESSITIES.

Mumsnetters often change their names to stuff like "DailyM*ilAreCunts" if they suspect their story might get picked up. You'd think you'd be safe with a post about fucking FUDGE though.

I went in to the furthest away office in my command last week and got fuck all done, which I’ve used as evidence as to why I should stay at home.

Kids these days would rather play Fortnite in Jaywick than book a fortnight there, or something

That's not Rolys luckily, I can tell by the horrible flavours. That does seem expensive tho!
£31 for two bags doesn't seem THAT much to me. Not that it isn't a lot of money for fudge - just that I paid £9 or whatever it was for a full small bag. If it's those deep gusseted paper bags pick n mix comes in at the cinema I can well imagine you'd get £20 in a bag with relative ease.

She says she wasn't allowed to put any back, but I suspect they didn't put a gun to her head to make her pay, either.

Good afternoon Moopy, just finished work.
@Rachey my mom has it, the rheumatoid arthritis, let me know if there's anything you'd like to know.
Thank you. I'm having blood tests next week for it, I'm assuming that's fairly normal? I really don't like taking medication or pain relief etc, is there anything non medical I can do?

We always tell people the price as we bag up and if it's too much we put some back. Although I think only twice has anyone asked us to put less in!

omg so much I want to say about this :D

among other things:
- the insinuation that everyone does some casual shoplifting
- caramel isn’t the same as fudge is it? So what’s with salted caramel flavour fudge? And candy floss is literally only sugar, so that’s sugar flavour fudge?!
- the last comment about the ripoff £18 pic n mix that would’ve cost five pounds in Poundland.. you can get rather a lot of sweets for a fiver in Poundland :D

I have serious doubts about the portion sizes by these people

I just found a Jaywick Community Group on FB.

I feel like they've been stealing ideas from Madonna for their tempting pie and mash. I like the way it's SMEARED OVER THE PLATE and crisped beyond perfection.

I guess if it’s pic n mix there might be allergy concerns?
Hmm we've never had any issues. But I still don't believe this person wasn't told the price as she was filling her bag..she must have known how heavy it was. Fudge weighs a lot!

That special offer isn't half bad actually...
