Tuesday can’t think of a good thread title

Nothing like unreleased fury to set you up for the day.

Got up at 6.30am and closed the bathroom door so it would be toasty warm when I went for my shower at 7.30. Mr F got up and went to the toilet at 7am and left the door wide open. The shower was fine, it's the shivering cold trying to get dry afterwards that infuriated me. The bathroom door is one of our winter-house rules, the butter is already in its winter home so he should be aware that the house is now running on Winter rules. In a fit of pettiness I made him a cup of coffee with one less sugar so it would be horrid and took it upstairs to him.

:D Petty acts of vengeance are always the best.

Second day of working from home and I’ve been early two days on the bounce. What a champ.

If you were my mother, she'd have thrown the sugar out.

One less sugar means that the first taste of his coffee is really bitter and then he has to come downstairs to put more in if he wants to drink it because I've already left for work. Throwing out the sugar would be too easy, this way it looks like an accident. :eyes:

Can't think of where to put this, but it made me chuckle

Second training session. I hate these breakout rooms because sometimes you just can't get a word in and then you look like the one not contributing.

Hi Moopy! It’s grey and grim and to be honest depressing all around.

REMIND ME AGAIN, WHY AM I STILL ALIVE?

UUUURGH my neighbours at the back had their kitchen done about 2 years ago, why are they doing it AGAIN? FUCK THIS NOISE

Who is this halfwit that stands behind the news correspondents on ITV News most lunch times with different BIBLE PUNCHING signs? Today’s is

Repent

Trust Jesus

Don’t go to HELL

My neighbours started doing a kitchen extension at the start of lockdown. They still haven't finished.

@Kate , how did you get on with your eyes yesterday?

They have got slightly worse which is annoying cos I thought they had stopped  They went in hard with the 2-for-1 offer but I couldn't find any frames I liked more than my current ones plus you feel guilty trying them on because they have to immediately take them away and clean them :gross: So I'm STICKING. Then regretted it when I saw the price. OH WELL! The optometrist lady was very nice.

Yeah sometimes it works out just as much to keep your own frames which is annoying. So were they good with cleaning everything out of interest?

I didn't see them actually doing it but they seemed to be yes. Plus making people queue outside, sanitise on their way in, etc.

We had a half hour queue outside the other day, it's mad busy sometimes but of course people just get angry for having to wait so long

I have 28 work meetings this week. This can't be healthy. So far anyway, I assume more will get added.

What about? I couldn't be arsed with that shit. I have 2 days a week I'll accept bookings for meetings and even then I'll limit it to a few a day max.

I'll pretend you're actually interested.

Ranging from simple team catchups, fun discussions about generalised linear modelling to technical discussions about Economic Added Value on private illiquid assets. :)

Does anyone know if I can bank a cheque that's just over 6 months old? Google tells me they're valid for 6 years although most banks honour to cash them within 6 months. What with all that's going on I totally forgot to cash these in.

Hmmm. This is nationwide. I just thought what with covid they might be a bit more flexible!

Sorry but people still use cheques?!! :D
