Morning.

Still hate my new desk. 6th floor. I can see the hills in the distance and the tops of buildings.

If I wanted to be this high up, I'd have got myself bitten by a radioactive spider.

I've never spoken with that GP before. He has an Italian name and sounded young, so I've just done a bit of social media stalking. Fit as fuck, and politically sound. I'm off for a wank.

Oh I love being HIGH UP. I was in hospital last week on the ELEVENTH FLOOR :disco:

Have you got anything in place for when the two week period ends? Like a stress reduction plan etc?

With work? I'll need to talk that through. I'm sure they will decide they need to check up on me a few times.

I did self refer to the local NHS talking therapy service last week though, so we'll see what becomes of that. I've used the previous service before and found it useful.

Were you fine after your jab or did you feel groggy, get blurry vision etc?

Nope I'm fine THUS FAR. I've had the flu jab every year for 10+ years (I have asthma). The only time I got a real reaction was when they included a swine flu jab vaccine in 2012 (I think) and I got a fever that evening, but was fine after that

I have one every year too. This one was a bit different. I think it was because it was so quick and took me by surprise. Plus I was standing up when they did it.

I'm quite enjoying Sitting Near A Manager again. He was having a semi-whispered convo with a colleague who had phoned in. Said colleague has lost their sense of smell.

Oh dear.

Is it still only Tuesday?! UGH.

Need to book time off for MOT on the 27th but it comes to mind that we might be in the middle of a "circuit breaker" by then.

I still managed to get my MOT done in peak lockdown! Should be ok I’d have thought.

Anyway I’ve got to drag myself to the sorting office this afternoon to pick up a parcel that the postman inexplicably didn’t leave with my concierge.

Our sorting office has never reopened. It's redelivery or you cough up to have it delivered to a post office you can pick up from. Which is a bit shit, especially given that the post office I used last time had a smaller standing area than the sorting office, thus completely defeating the purpose.

They’re all behind a screen at the sorting office anyway so it makes no sense?!?

One of our staff members made a Facebook page and a Twitter for our office (with the boss's permission). I've been added as a page admin of it on FB. I have not yet told them that I won't be touching any of it as it isn't in my job description and I've no desire to be associated with their gramatically incorrect and badly spelt shitposts. Already today one of them has sent a tweet and put an errant apostrophe at the end of the word employees when employees is just a plural.

He's your CARETAKER, love.

There's not even much to fail on mine but of COURSE they found an iffy suspension component last time. I'm praying if they find another it's an extended warranty job, as they've essentially admitted to fitting suspension components from its petrol sister car that doesn't have half a ton of battery weighing it down.
