Tuesday needs a good cry

:( oh I'm sorry for the people who want to cry. I hate days like that.

Who here has had the oxford Covid vacc? I've got mine tomorrow and I'm panicking about the side effects.

Y'know, the new claire rousay EP had me in a SOB last night. Must be planetary.

I'm having mine tomorrow as well. I reckon if there was any reason to believe I was at risk from blood clots it would have come up between 2014 and 2017 because that's when I was right under the medical microscope. That said, I'm considering popping a couple of paracetamol beforehand to be on the side of safety.

If Oxford is the AstraZeneca one I had it on Saturday and so did a woman from work. Other than feeling a little off-colour the worst side effect is the sore arm and two Paracetamol will stop that in its tracks. She also had a sore arm and felt slightly poorly on Sunday but that's it. After our comparison of side-effects yesterday we then spent five minutes slagging off her husband who had to take a day off work after he'd had his. Don't panic Rachey, I think it's just a lottery whether you get any.

Not sure which one @Ag had but he sounded worse off than we got.

Ooh yes I was thinking of taking paracetamol as well! Maybe an hour beforehand?

I have no idea if I have any medical issues

Yeah it's the same vacc. My friend who is early 20s had it and was really poorly for days, vomiting, diarrhoea, aching. But I've heard the younger you are the worse the side effects. So I'm thankful to be old.

@Rachey @octophone @Floppet (I think you may be asthmatic?) are you all getting yours because you are frontline workers or are they starting to vaccinate over 40’s? I haven’t heard anything yet. :(

I also probably need the post count as it is getting to that time of the week.

It is gorgeous and sunny here today and SLIGHTLY WARM. My run this morning was a DELIGHT for the first time in forever.

I also have Vera coming round shortly so I am going to follow her around chewing her ear off as I have had such a lack of human contact other than my wretched children for some time now. :disco:

I'm getting mine because the isle of Wight is way ahead of it's target and is now starting on the over 40s. Plus my friend is the Receptionist at the doctors surgery.

Fantastic. I THINK we are still at 60 and over here, as I know a few who are early 60’s getting their vaccination on Saturday so I probably still have a fair while to wait.

Considering the islands population is mostly over 65 I have no idea how they're getting through us so fast. Although I guess we only have a population of 165,000 anyway.

Underlying condition that wasn't important enough for me shield but is important enough for me to get a vaccine in mid-March.

Oh I watched two episodes of The Dog House last night and did my crying then. Recommended.

Oh god have you seen the trailer for “Stray” which is out #soon? I absolutely will not be able to watch it.

Please get Vera to join Moopy, I feel like she’s a celebrity around these parts already.

MORNING!

I'm actually in quite a good mood today. The sun is shining, I've been working since 6am and so have gotten a lot done, have got the cancer doc for a check up this afternoon which I'm happy about and Miss @Beverley will be pleased to know a copy of his NEW BESTSELLER landed on my doormat this morning which I'm going to tuck into tonight.

All in all, TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.

Now watch some cunt ruin it...
