Tuesday needs a snooze

If there's one thing I've come to realise is that straight men are terrible. Don't get me wrong some of my close friends are straight men, but there should be some kind of law against them.

And gay men are better?

I think you’ll find it’s just men in general...

Spent the afternoon rearranging my kitchen work surfaces trying to accommodate the new George Foreman grill and griddle and you could've knocked me over with a feather when Mr F said to just get rid of the deep-fat-fryer! I didn't need telling twice.

George Foreman?!

On a related kitchen gadget theme, I'm trying to decide if a raclette grill would make a decent housewarming present for a friend, or if they are a bit gimmicky and will only be used once. Does anyone have one?

I don’t even know what that is.

Get her a spiralizer. I’m sure she’ll love that. :side-eye:

Yeah, Mr F's on a very low-fat diet and he appears to be taking it seriously so I bought one because I think it'll be better than grilling under the normal grill plus it has a griddle part so I can make scotch-pancakes for myself. He's been eating fruits and vegetables without me nagging him within an inch of his life and even bought some fat-free yoghurts when we went shopping. The only downside is that I went to the fridge to get a nectarine this morning and he'd eaten the last one but I didn't say anything and had a pear and a banana instead.

I've just googled what one is and I'm not sure I'd even use it once because I don't do cheese. It'd be relegated to the defunct kitchen equipment cupboard with the breadmaker, slow-cooker, fryer, breville and many cafetieres.

If we're on cooking can I just say

HOW TO DRESS A SALAD: mix a little balsamic vinegar with at least an equal amount of olive oil, mix, drizzle over the salad and toss gently
HOW NOT TO DRESS A SALAD: pour cheap balsamic vinegar from the bottle over the salad
HOW TO PREPARE FILLED PASTA: boil the pasta, drain gently, transfer carefully to bowls and grate a little cheese over the top
HOW NOT TO PREPARE FILLED PASTA: boil the pasta, drain, add liberal quantities of margarine, beat with a wooden spoon until the filling comes out of the pasta, slop out in bowls and grate a little cheese over the top

I'M NOT LOOKING AT ANYONE IN PARTICULAR HERE
