Morning all.

Just one more thing for my niece to balance her up with my nephew. I don't have any books for her yet...a trip to Waterstones at lunch time perhaps.

I need to do so much more Christmas shopping but just CAN’T BE ARSED.

I still haven't got my own mother anything. My usual fall back of tickets to a show can't be relied on any more due to her reduced mobility. It'll probably end up being a cardigan from M&S and some bits.

I love a trip to Waterstones!
I do think Waterstones redesign a few years back served them well. Obviously I've always loved a book shop, but never used to particularly like their shops. I didn't particularly enjoy lingering in them.

But then they got rid of all the black a few years ago and seem to have put a lot more thought into being a shop people would like being in.

Now I always enjoy going into a Waterstones anywhere, if only to look at the design of it.

My top three branches of Waterstones are probably Oxford, Salisbury and Cheltenham.

I just need to ask my sister to give me a name of something, probably a perfume, to buy my mother, which I'll do Christmas Eve-Eve and then wrap everything up to a new Xmas playlist that will also be peppered with 90s bangers. I'm lucky that my nephew is still too young to notice any disparity in gift value/amounts with my niece.

We've got two in the centre of Glasgow - the larger one is a lovely, airy space with a high ceiling and good lighting (not too stark), the smaller one is more crammed in.

Feeling mildly rank, think I've got a vague bug but then I suppose thats to be expected when you put 18 humans in a house with the heating on full for 3 days in peak lurgy season.

I need to get Ms Ron 1 thing (thank god for agreeing to only buy a couple of token presents) and I'm absolutely buzzing that I did my food shop online. Bar a trip to Booths to pick up my 3 bird roast and some picky bits I'm DONE.

Good morning (just) :santa:

I'm in town today, we were away in London over the weekend as Mr COB's mum was flying home from there - between that, her visit in general, and my mum visiting before that it feels like we haven't really had a chance to get Christmassy yet  So I'm planning to try and do all of my present shopping today, then food shopping tomorrow. We'll see how it goes :eyes:

I'm still ill. I don't feel defeated yet, but the cough is on the verge of getting me down. I don't really know the intention of this cold, it's lacking progression.

I’ve managed to stave off any grim so far, but just went to see my Mum who is full of it, so left rather swiftly.

AND my Lidl have stopped stocking Spaghetti Hoops. I’m going to have take my weekly shop ELSEWHERE.

Well, I was put out of Whamageddon last week and I've just gone out of At-This-Time-Of-Yearageddon. 22 years, I managed.

We are all heading over to sunny Scotland on Saturday morning. So Vera is picking up our order from the butcher and M&S and I will start preparing everything on Christmas Day.

I don’t actually feel all that festive this year yet. I’m not sure if it is because of the move earlier on in the year, followed by being ill or the thought of having to travel back and be mostly in the kitchen for 2 days. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I am going to start listening to the ASFXMAS entries shortly. Hopefully that should do the trick! :eyes:

Mandy had this last week. Really annoying cough for 5 days and nothing else. Then overnight it turned into a full on cold. She's been on the sofa for a week, it's been amazing.

My only task for today was heading out to buy a JACKIE COLLINS book and I’m still in bed recovering from the past cruel 12 months of work.

Why, may I ask, have I been sent an invitation for a meeting about INSURANCE at 10am on my first day back in January.

Do you WANT ME TO COME BACK?

I made a beautiful batch of honeycomb fudge today.

I helped myself to a chunk this afternoon and there was a piece of paper somehow in it. We cannot work out where it's come from or what it is.

So now we have 10kg fudge we can't sell 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fortunately it's my favourite flavour. So I'll be eating at least 3kg.

I miscounted. I needed two more things. So NOW I have one more thing to get after already getting the one thing I thought I needed to get. :octy:
