Wouldn't argue with that, eh?

Morning.

Ms Ron is back at work and having the same conversation with different people over teams. Its driving me mad but I’m still in bed so can’t grumble too much.

I just CANNOT be fucked today. I'm sat in my office, doing the digital equivalent of pushing papers around and I'm going to give up in a few minutes and just do something NICE for the rest of the afternoon because I'm just not in the mood.

This weather is absolute dog shit. I wanted to go walking and do stuff this week but instead I can't even be bothered to get out of bed.

Ive sent two invoices from bed and closed my laptop. Ive got my gym stuff on and thats probably going to be it.

The office is DEAD so I’m mostly FARTING ABOUT doing MENIAL TASKS as my brain has turned to MUSH.

It’s pissing it down, we’re short staffed and work it’s more than likely going to be rammed when I arrive.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I'm back tomorrow and it's going to be ALL HANDS TO THE PUMPS and I'll probably have to go in on Saturday and I'm already dreading it

Thankfully schools aren't open yet. I'm heading into town despite the weather.

I didn't even go to the gym, just did a bodyweight workout at home seeing as I've got so much weight to utilise :D

That's scary.
Only light rain forecast until Thursday now, but the worry is more the rain from the last two weeks or whatever it is which is coming down and through the surrounding hills - we're in a valley. That's presumably why the water is running so fast, and that hasn't slowed at all since yesterday.

My usual route to work is cut off because of flooding.

But it's not really a surprise, it happens about 5 times a year anyway. We're used to it around here.

Did you ever cruise Conham River Park, @Sheena ? That'll soon be a lot more rivery.

"The stretch of the River Avon at Conham River Park, or by Beese's Riverside Bar, is already a very popular site for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and boating."

That's not all, by the sounds of it.

It's fast moving water that scares me. My brother lives by a canal and I just couldn't. Too many times it's been going at too fast a clip.

Both my parents have come down with a CRUEL SICKNESS over the festive period, and I feel it looming within me.

:nononono:

The wind is really bearing down outside. The lights are flickering.

The wind is proper bonkers here- whenever they say it's going to be mental, it generally is just a BIT PUFFY, but my car was properly being pushed over the wrong side of the road on the seafront earlier.

My mum was on one of the few ferries running from the mainland back to the island this afternoon. Apparently it was so rough the water was hitting the lounge windows and people were being sick 🤢

Customers, it was like we were back in covid times and everyone was just angry all the time :o
The general public are arseholes most of the time. I'm pleased we're closed for the month.

There's just no need for it, is there? People really have got massively more rude and entitled in the last few years. I don't think it's just the pandemic, there's a whole cultural shift, mostly caused by people who got the Brexit they wanted and are angry about it.
