Tuesdays and Tiaras

Well, at least it's dry and bright today. It was so flipping dark yesterday. Amazing the difference it makes at this time of year.

It's a GLORIOUS day outside, I'm going to have a walk down to the butchers to buy these disgusting pork eaters the best pigs in blankets you can buy this side of MCR.

I did my shopping at 10pm in BOOTHS last night, I was still a bit ketty, but it was fucking sublime. No people, no queues. I didn't even spend much.

Agreed! It was a lovely cycle to work this morning.

I enjoyed a leisurely stroll into the office today, marred only by about 2 minutes of drizzle. But it's Scotland. Drizzle = life.

It’s that cold here the inside side of my car windscreen has frozen :D

I know it can't be helped, but I'm so bored of spending 10 hours days in my living room :(

strong same. I actually don’t like being off work because of the lack of routine anyway, but this is especially bad.

@HerSereneHighnessAnniFrid and I take a refreshing turn around the kitchen every few hours which has been a joyful way to boost the mood, based on seeing it done in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

I make Mrs Bev do that all the time.

"Let us take a turn about the room."

*links arms and drags her off the sofa* :disco:

Hi loves. I am trying to decide what to wear for Christmas Day. It was just going to be us 3, but now Vera and her sister Joyce are coming, and another lady called Heather that lives alone and has been coming for a few years but over lockdown has got terribly wandered. She has no family and few friends, so I usually get her to come here and she absolutely loves getting spoiled. I am rather looking forward to Christmas and I can now set the Christmas table for more than 3. :disco:

Vera’s coming? Will she be cooking or is she there in a guest capacity?

I lost the draw to go and collect a certain client's VAT paperwork this morning. Two hours of being talked at about people I don't know, honestly he could talk the hind leg off a donkey and I couldn't get a word in edgewise. It's a freezing cold portakabin on an industrial estate and I'm not sure my feet'll ever be warm again.

I have gone for M&S this year for all our a Christmas food and drink needs so collect tomorrow. It is the closest supermarket (other than Co-op) to me.

Yay! Mario Kart is waiting for me when I get home! Unfortunately, I'm still at work until 8pm.

I hope you wear a high vis jacket when cycling home in the dark. It's so hard to see cyclists otherwise if you're driving.

It really is SHIT being in the office at this time of night in the Christmas week. Almost everyone buggered off hours ago and the lights keep going out because it's all based on movement sensors.
