You better pray I can't get the Facebook to work on my phone or I'm gonna BLOG my TRIUMPHANT return to MK in TEDIOUS DETAIL to the bemusement of threes of people. I don't see why I should have to suffer alone!

The only thing I know about Milton Keynes is that heavy metal bands have a bewildering desire to perform there.

Milton Keynes is the town that produced the highest number of Moopyrate winners per capita in the world [citation needed]

Maybe?

I'm gonna KNOCK 'EM DEAD. Even though I've got a fucking cold sore. I haven't had one for years and I haven't been out to meet loads of people I don't know for years, so what happens? LIFE, I give up

Can't believe I used to walk from Walton Park to the OU to Peartree Bridge for a quick one and on to the dole office and all the way back. It's fucking miles. BRING ME TAXIS

It’s a standard Scottish summer!

I’m looking forward to the supposed thunderstorms on Thursday.

it really is like home. last three summers have been spent in places with 30+ degrees so it's a welcome change

Balmaha yesterday was hot though but that was probably down to the climb up the hill... I am in appalling shape

I just had to google Balmaha and I have lived here for the best part of 15 years. How long are you here for? What’s on the itinerary?

Was supposed to be interviewing a lad who's applied to be our new apprentice at work this morning. His CV left a lot to be desired but he'd seemed really keen when he dropped it off a few weeks ago so I said we should give him a chance. His interview appointment was 11am and he emailed the boss at 10.57am saying he was at a friend's funeral so would be late. So I replied fifteen minutes later to let him know that we'd received the email and would get back to him, to which his immediate reply was "is it possible to do it another day because i am really interested in this position" - remember, he's at his friend's funeral right now . I emailed him back to tell him that we wouldn't be proceeding with his application.

I've had DUSTY in my head all day due to this thread

I don’t even know how that works, I don’t know where anything is because I drove everywhere

What happened to the one who kept not turning up? Was he on spice?

Boss is sorting out new contracts for us all and after that she can go down the warnings route and sack him if necessary. We don't know what he's on but he's rarely here before half past nine and last Friday he tipped up at midday, stinking of ale with an excuse that his phone was broken so his alarm hadn't gone off. He went to get a Subway for lunch at 1pm (much to our surprise), got back to the office and spent the next half-hour throwing up intermittently then went home sick blaming heatstroke. We all knew he was still pissed from the night before and the throwing up was his hangover kicking in.

Keep thinking about this now, how many Moopy/Dot rate winners have there been, and where did they come from?

Also @Shirley is MK your actual hometown, or this is all for NOWT

Working overtime. Necessary - just spunked £75 on vinyl.

That I won't get for two months.

That sounds like someone with a serious problem.

I've SURVIVED and ESCAPED and I'm on a train full of BUSINESSMEN and PISSED AS A FART. I actually APOLOGIZED to my PhD supervisor for TAKING THE PISS back in the day :D

Who would have guessed there was ever passionate homosex in Milton Keynes?

You’re telling me

Oh well, maybe the Moopyrate stat still holds up just because it’s small. Hopefully it can win on a San Marino style technicality

@Diddy Stop trying to make Milton Keynes happen! You moved to the other side of the world to get away from it!

:D what a claim!
But no, I won’t rest until Milton Keynes is finally accepted as un-noteworthy and normal, rather that a shithole. Especially so close to Luton and Hemel Hempstead

Sadly it is. I've known him for ten years so I actually do care a lot about him, I've asked him many times in the last 9-12 months or so if he's alright or does he want to chat, the boss has asked him too but he's insistent everything is good with him when it clearly isn't. We're at a loss really because you want to help somebody but they're insistent they don't need any and there's nothing wrong. We all care about him which is why he's been allowed to get away with it for so long but there comes a point when you have to do something.
