On the train to the outlet village at Swindon. Apparently some quite well known TV actress just walked past us but I didn't twig. I'll wander down to the toilet in a moment and see if I can spot her.

This cold has absolutely flattened me. I got a flu jab and a covid jab but one night in a basement venue with a bunch of scruffs bouncing about and I'm riddled for a week.
 
Wednesday gigs are fun. Thursday tiredness is not.

Good job I have another gig tonight.

I declined work today. I was working yesterday in a tiny computer lab with a bunch of snotty 12 year olds and very little air. We're away this weekend and I'm desperate not to be ill Tuesday.

Ms Ron is making tomato soup with cheese on toast and then we're watching a musical. I did float a jacket potato as a lunch idea but I'm hungry and dont have an hour to spare.
 
I can’t explain why but it feels like it should be the week before Christmas.
 
OT: I'm writing a tender for a potential client at the moment and these are separate questions:

Evidence of sufficient resources and appropriate infrastructure to provide a high-quality service for each lot concerned;
Confirmation of the candidate’s capacity to absorb the expected volume of activity for each lot concerned

Unless you answer the second one as "Yes we can", it's ENTIRELY the same question?

Nope, separate question about tech anyway, and "sufficient resources and infrastrucuture" surely covers people hours/ personnel?
 
I mean, I can FUDGE different answers, but having sat through this for SOME TIME, I'm not convinced that I've gone word blind, hence me asking if I've missed something...
 
I read the first question as do you have enough laptops, offices and stationery to do our job and the second as will you as a person/people be able to cope with the workload.

Laptops = Tech
Offices/ Stationery = Don't actually matter in this day and age

I REALISE what you're saying, but it just doesn't make any SENSE to answer it in that way for me...

I knew it didn't actually mean offices and stationery but I worded it in a rush to just mean business stuff that isn't the workforce.

I’m on me holidays in Cape Verde :disco: and someone at the karaoke did a song in foreign wot I didn’t recognise so I googled it and it turns out it was Portugal’s entry into the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest and came 16th. £5* to whoever can name it without googling.




*actually 5 Cape Verdean escudos

It’s called Conquistador and it is by far the best song that Portugal have ever sent to Eurovision.
 
I assume that 5 Cape Verdean escudos is a lot of money and I will now be able to retire.
 
Well now I see there was a thread about it just last month. Is it a TIKTOK THING? Or is the skinny blonde Portugese girl who sang it a secret Moopy poster?
